NoJoMo 16

I’m pretty pissed that work have allocated the last of my annual leave and my supervisor is refusing to change it.
I’d really like to have the day off on 11 Dec for my graduation scrimmage, but all Laura could say was "allocated leave can’t be changed". She didn’t even ask rostering.
I land at 2pm that day and the scrimmage starts at 4. Presuming we land on time I’ll have enough time to get there, but I’d still rather have that day off than a day I didn’t ask for. urgh.

I had a burger today and dribbled sauce all the way down the front of my new micro fleece!!
I was so upset, Ben thought it was hilarious. 

I always wake up to the radio in the morning. I hate waking up to a beeping alarm.
The radio is tuned to Absolute Radio 90s, and it only plays 90s stuff, mostly soft rock, and I love it so much.
This morning the radio came on and it was fucking Radio 1. Feeling tense because of an annoying DJ is not a good way to start the day.

It’s ben’s day off today.
We went to the shop this morning and finally bought some groceries. 
And we watched a movie this afternoon. Whatever you do, in all of your life, never bother watching Knowing.  I’m still upset I’ll never get those 2 hours back.
We had pie and mash and peas for supper and now Ben’s playing call of duty and I’m amusing myself online. Boring.

My camp friends do secret santa every year. And since we’re all scattered around the globe and unable to draw names from a hat Dusty always just assigns everyone.
This year Dusty wants to take part so I’ve volunteered to do the assignments. 
Can I still take part?
Me taking part just means that I’d be choosing who buys a gift for me, so I’m just ruining the surprise for myself. That’s not so bad right?
I don’t think any of them will care.
I don’t want to not take part though 🙁

We’ve changed our plan for Canada ever so slightly. 
It turns out there isn’t a single casino in Toronto- well not one we can find online anyway.
There are lots of casinos in Niagra though. We’re planning on going to Niagra Falls on our last day anyway so now we’re going to stay there for the night instead of coming back to the city at the end of the day.
So falls on Monday day and then dinner, gambling and staying in a nice hotel on Monday night! yay.

I showed you guys all this things I bought yesterday. I bought some stuff online too….

I bought some new wheel bearings for my skates.
They were half price on amazon, and I’ve wanted to get some Bones reds for months. 

I bought new filters for Elroy’s drinking fountain.
(yes my cat has a drinking fountain. He’s fussy and always forgets to drink and has gotten sick twice because of it. So yes)

 

And I bought this leopard print slanket thing. Don’t worry it’s not for me, I think it’s hideous lol.
We wanted to get our coach a gift for all the hard work she’s done coaching us over the last few months.
She loves all things leopard print so we all think she’s going to love it. We got her some hot pants too.
Someone pointed out that that woman’s face seems to have been pasted onto that picture- how very very strange.

I’ve been watching My Transexual Summer on channel 4. 
They put 7 transgendered people in a house for a few weekends over the summer. It’s been very interesting and I’m really enjoying it. 
I haven’t had a lot of experience with trans people, but I think they’re very special.
The only one I know is Dustybunny who I met working at camp. She was Tracey when I met her and he’s now Travis.
It also made me think of when SP was dating a trans boy all those years ago. She was telling me how she felt she was taking the easy way out by dating a girl who identifies as a boy. When people looked at them in the street they saw a straight couple instead of a lesbian couple and she felt cowardly about the whole thing.

I remember telling Ben all this and his reply was "if you weren’t such a nice person I’d swear you were messing with me"
 

I have work tomorrow. It’s my only shift all week so I can’t really complain.
And it’s just Tenerife and back. Easy peazy.
