layers

unseen

i am not mad at anyone.

so now we can talk about something else. 

peeling back layer after layer
of this distance.
[thin layers, flaking, dropping off with one brush of my finger]
and i’m close to you but i’m far away.

i am a cobweb.  you are a corner.
and i am tangled.  and you are smooth and beautiful. and freshly painted.
