i wanted to write an entry to honor of the anniversary of my emancipation. a year ago, yesterday, we broke up, my first boyfriend and i.

i want to celebrate,
i want to jump up and down,
laugh and yell
i am my own person,
i am so much more myself than i ever was with you, "love"
i’ve found "love" in so many places
without you there

i found myself
free…

and dirt.
