River
You can smell the river from where I live
You cant see it
It costs more than I have
To call a piece amoung the tall trees mine
Not to say that
Its not worth the price
Because if
It was all mine
I would charge much more.
For some
The spot comes Easy
And for those
It goes as it comes
And they sit with
Thier priceless view
Never knowing the cost
Or The way
That the river
Comes and goes with
Everything a man could ever need
and just short
Of all he could hope for.
The river
Can keep you alive
Forever with what it brings you
But what it
Washes away will
Break so much more
Than your
Heart
No water of this world
Can wash that
away
This is what
Truly baptizes us
What we miss
Is what we are made of.
I miss you too.
