How To Write A Masterpiece

first and most importantly

you have to do work

and it should be the type of work

where you never have to try

you cant waste your juice

don’t create

don’t let them buy it from you

at any price.

Then

you have to leave that place

third and most importantly

you have to stop and

buy two bottles of wine

make it some wine you have never tried

show the world your not afraid to take risks

now go let them sell it to you

whatever the price

now

you have to go home

fifth and most importantly

you have to watch something

the news, the wind…the lack of wind,

your fish, your cat….your local politician

find the good and the bad

the warm place in between

think about this while you finish the first bottle

then think about how you forgot to taste it

now sit down in a uncomfortable chair

at a old desk

naked

with your last bottle of wine

and write about all the things you forgot to notice

and remember to taste it

then

last and most importantly

take the empty bottles outside

at 2:43 in the mourning

on a Tuesday…

with a smoke

and light Chinese screaming rockets ( with report)

out of the humid wine bottles

without mercy

firing true north

the smoke from the bottles

will remind you of Hemingway

sitting by a Spanish fire

in the middle of a war

drinking from a leather wine skin

unsure of  his company……

and in love

Ryn: as always greatly appreciated. I like when someone takes the time to read the older stuff.
