Bobber

I inherited a 1982 gold GL1100…it runs good and has 37,000 miles……this is what it looks like– http://www.flickr.com/photos/8347722@N07/2654455032/

Yes, I agree that is one ugly pile of old man cruiser…But I also inherited a wicked set of tools….including a few great metal saws and grinders and a Lincoln welder….

So with not much else to do…and a pole barn to do it in…I have decided to Bob this bike. I will start by tearing off every single part that is not directly related to making it run. all touring, trailering, fairing and cargo shit will be cut off. I will then kick the front forks out 4 degrees to lower the bike and give it the profile I am looking for….then I will cut the back of the frame down removing the shocks and rear fender and making it into a hard tail….I will switch the handle bars out for some straight racers…and the front light…..and get ride of everything on the instrument gauge except for the spedo and the neutral light………..why? you ask…..because It fucking calls to me…that’s why

it will look basically like this….except black and with much better pipes.

I will post pics when I am done….

but for now I am off to cut metal with fire.
