The Door
There is nobody who can open this door.
She can’t from the inside
and they can’t from the outside.
To her, it sounds like there’s an ocean
of tidal waves crashing around her heart.
To them, it is silent.
Just silent.
She knows how to get the door open,
that doorless door
those undefeatable walls just made of air,
that’s all.
She thinks of the flesh,
how soft, how plush.
and she misses the blood that collected
at the sides of his mouth.
