Humingbird
Hummingbird, you move so fast
and only stop to take whatever’s sweet from me
How I long to touch you in return
but before I do, you’ve flown away again.
Hummingbird, I wish you could slow down
I know that isn’t in your little heart.
But one day there won’t be a flower left,
and you won’t stay,
and it shall be because
a birdy bled me dry,
then flew away.
