Still waiting!

Well here it is a week later and still no new shower unit. The suppliers, in their wisdom, decided to hold on to the shower base and wait until the shower doors were there too and then send both at once to our builder to save freight. That was last week, when it was promised on Wed then Fri. It would have been better for all of us if they had been truthful. The builder would have started today and he and the plumber would be done on Wed or Thurs of this week. I could scream at the suppliers. Anyway, nothing I can do about it.
The problem was I wanted an off white shower and base to match the bath and lately they have only been making them in white, so they had to make it for me. But if they hadn’t have lied about delivery we would all be smiling, especially the builder who could have done other jobs he had planned but now is behind in his work.
We had tremendous rainfall over the weekend. I don’t think I have ever seen rain quite as heavy. But looking out today, you would never guess the garden had been flooded. The sun is shining and a nice day is ahead by the look of it.
Nearly the end of November and soon we’ll be spending Christmas at Warrnambool with Melissa and Evan. We’re looking forward to it even though it’s only a few days, as it’s the busy time of year for us. I could have taken more time off but not Melissa and Evan. Don’t even know for sure if Evan is allowed the few days off. Fingers crossed he will make it.
Melissa has applied for the assistant manager’s position at her travel company. It doesn’t involve more money but more responsibility, but as she said it will look good on her CV if she gets it. I hope she does.
OK only a short one today, as I have no laundry either so have to visit the laundromat in town. I can do without the washing machine so the plumber when he comes will do everything in the one day. But I need my shower!
