Photos, physios and specialists.
I seem to have problems writing entries lately. I’ve sat down so many times to write but for some reason I just wasn’t motivated enough, even though I was reading all my favs.
Anyway here I am with some photos from our trip. We went to Huskisson with Melissa and Evan for a few days. The weather driving there was wonderful, but changed when we arrived. We did go whale watching but it was too rough and we couldn’t go out far. We did see some dolphins though and I got a short video of one beside the boat. It was still enjoyable though even if it was cold.
It was nice to just stay in with the kids and play cards and games, which were all supplied at the apartment, also dvds. And only a short walk for a pizza or takeaway. I wasn’t cooking on our short holiday!
This is the dolphin video.
This is Melissa freezing on the boat.
The blowhole at Kiama, which on numerous visits, has never been in action for us. And wasn’t this time either.
Taken on the balcony of the apartment.

Melissa recently bought a scooter to get around Sydney as she didn’t want a car. One of her friends spied her on the way home from work and took this photo on a mobile phone.
Husband and I have been having physio treatment. He has been going for a while and I see an improvement in his back pain. So I decided to visit him too as I’ve had treatment from physios, doctors and a chiropractor for a pain where my neck and shoulder join. I hurt it last year and everyone seemed to think they had fixed it so I had given up treatment. But this physio is finally getting to the root of what the problem is and has given me exercises and well as massage each week. Finally I seem to be improving.
Next week we have a trip to Melbourne to a spinal clinic where husband will have some tests to find out where exactly the pain is coming from. The only problem is, his back will have to be sore so they can assess it. So all the physio’s work may be undone. As long as his back doesn’t go into a spasm.
But if they find out at the morning appointment where the pain is, he gets treatment in the afternoon under anaesthetic. In 6 weeks he will be assessed again. Which will be around Christmas and we have plans! However, we’ll see what happens.
Can’t believe it is now November. Where has the year gone?
Melissa is going to India sometime later this month. She gets back Dec 24 just in time for our Christmas break in Warrnambool, Vic. I haven’t been there since I was about 20.
Evan meanwhile seems fine although it’s hard to say, when we only talk on the phone or text. I really want to see him face to face and ask how he is coping. It’s been over 5 months since his girlfriend died, and he lives alone, which concerns me. But he does have lots of friends and sees them often, even though he is working nights at the backpackers for a while.
Husband bought a Kindle lately because the books he reads are usually massive in size and he was finding it hard reading in bed. So I downloaded a book from Amazon for him which was actually 4 books in one. He had read about 1/2 of the first one when he accidentally deleted it and it went into archives. I should have been able to return it but couldn’t. So after numerous emails I was advised to restart the kindle. 10 minutes after restarting, I managed to get the book back.
This is a problem my husband has with all small gadgets. I can hand him my mobile and he brings up pages I’ve never seen on it. His big fingers cause the problem. He hits wrong keys and then trouble starts.
I’m just thankful we didn’t have to pay for the book again.
I’ll write again when we get back from Melbourne.
Bye……….
I laughed about your husband’s fingers accidentally deleting things! Lovely photos! Evan looks like his dad.

I hate holding other people’s cell phones to look at pictures because my fingers always hit something they shouldn’t! I envy you all that traveling, but not the medical parts. 🙂 RYN: I think white is pretty, but that remains to be seen. Will let you know when it all grows out.

RYN: I think these “political” shows where people “debate” the issues by saying outrageous things and then treating it as gospel truth fuels all this ugly talk. One of my cousins was the spitting image of Glen Campbell in his younger years. 🙂

RYN: That painting would go well with the one I commissioned a few years ago, too. Now, I just gotta talk Papa Blue into it…:)
