Off to Sydney.

Up early this morning as we’re flying to Sydney for the weekend. Unfortunately M’s back tooth cracked and I spent ages yesterday trying to get him in to see a dentist. Didn’t want to be in Sydney with tooth problems. Finally got an appointment at 9am this morning. I couldn’t see myself in Sydney with M who complains at the slightest hint of pain, so I’m glad he’s getting it fixed. The whole side of one of his molars just fell off. He must have swallowed it because it was nowhere in sight.
Also yesterday he came home from work with the news he had been ‘fired’. I don’t know where he stands as he’s been injured for 3 years through a work accident, so while we’re in town, he’s calling in to see the solicitor who advised us last time he had work problems.
Even though he has been given the order of the boot, they’re still paying him, just not sure for how long. He can get all his entitlements like holiday pay and long service leave, but he would have to leave to get them, and he’s not doing that voluntarily. So he’s on their books, getting paid for goodness knows how long, but not working. Not going to worry about it as we were half expecting it. He’s of retiring age end of the year anyway.
Looking forward to seeing Melissa and Evan tonight. Not sure about Luka though. They are meeting us at our hotel, which is in Darling Harbour. I just hope the weather isn’t too cold and it doesn’t rain.
OK I’m off.

Bye…..
