Koh Samui.

Koh Samui is where Melissa is in Thailand. Stranded there because of the heavy rains have which caused severe flooding and devastation. Lives lost but she is safe thank goodness.
I was out yesterday when my niece called me to say Melissa was online on Facebook and wanted to speak to me. My niece also explained what was going on over there. I broke records driving home but missed her online. However she was able to leave a message saying she was safe, although they had no power or water. Roads have been swept away and the small airport was overloaded with 5000 people trying to fly out. No flights though as the winds were too strong. So Melissa was in the right place as she at least had a bed. All the ferries to the island were stopped too.
She has booked a flight out to Bangkok for Saturday where she is meeting up with a girlfriend. I hope the weather stays dry for her and all the poor people who have lost their livelihoods or homes.
I had to have 4 injections yesterday before we start travelling. Then I had an appointment with a physio to try and fix my sore neck and leg. By the time I was ready for bed, my leg was sore, also across my shoulders and neck. The physio had given me a good work over then finished with a lovely massage. What with waiting up to see if Melissa got back online and not being able to sleep for worrying about her, plus sore arms from the injections and the physio treatment, I had a terrible night. But thank goodness for the net and being able to communicate via Facebook instead of knowing nothing.
Evan messaged me a minute ago to say he had spoken online to her after he had finished work late last night and she is fine, still stranded there but the power had come back on. I had tried calling but her mobile was probably in need of charging so I didn’t get through.
So I am off to bed at 8pm for an early night and will probably wake up at some ungodly early hour like 4am, as I never sleep more than 7 or 8
hours.

Bye……

Glad that Melissa is ok. She’s lucky!

She’s safe. Stay focused on that. She’s an independent thinker. She’s smart. All those things work in her favor. I will pray for her safety. **HUGS** Try to rest. Your body needs to recover from all those shocks!

RYN: What a fun coincidence! Yes, the hatred on both sides is inexcusable. Thugs just wanting to hurt.
