bozeman montana pictures

I took the GRE today and 1310 is the number that will determine my future. My stay in Bozeman is ending tomorrow and it’s been really great because I got to spend Thanksgiving with two of my favorite people in the entire world. We cooked and made ourselves a proper turkey dinner and didn’t fail at even one thing, really! Oh, guess what, oh! I bought a new camera and now I can take pictures underwater and video, even! This bodes extra well because I bought a one-way ticket to Mexico and I leave on December 7th! And also get to spend time in Belize and there are some pretty incredible ruins around there. It will be nice to be in Mexico with someone that isn’t my family. Love the family and all but it’s a lot more interesting to take vacations with people who mostly like to do all the same things that you do. I’ve been feeling extra fond of Theodore for the past three days. We have such a weird relationship. I guess it’s working right now, though.

The GRE was pretty hard. I always thought I was kind of smart and I guess I realize that I am but my score’s in the 80th percentile or something which is a lot lower than I’ve ever been. But it’s so arbitrary, you know? Just because 20 percent of the people who took it did better than I did doesn’t mean they’d be much better at getting a Master’s degree than I will be. But at the same time I was pretty excited about some external validation of my intelligence. This game I play with myself about how I’m somehow going to whip out a masterpiece of some sort and it will solve most of my problems, especially the ones that have to do with money is harder to play when I’m only more special than 80% of a population of “smart people!” Damn, and you see, with sentences like that who can take me seriously? The writing portion of the test was pretty hard for me. I don’t get to know what I got on that yet… supposedly it will take about 2 weeks for the results to get to me. The “analyzing arguments” section, however, was phenomenally easy so hopefully that works out in my favor.

Well, it’s DePhoMo and I’m leaving for Mexico in five days but I would like to participate at least on day 2?

How’s that for commitment? Anyways, some photos from the weekend of pot-smoking, geeky board-game-playing and lots of amateur-cooking debauchery.

Here’s Bozeman, Montana at four PMish in late November.

Oooh, I bet those cookies tasted amazing even if they did end up looking like poo. Yummy. ****ing GRE. I bombed the math section so horribly that I took it a second time. I can’t even remember what I got on it now though. Which is kind of sad. Hm. Take me with you to Mexicooooooo!
