Furious!!!!!

 So McDonald’s decided not to close for third shift and so Shannon’s boss asked him for his actual availability now that they are staying open.  He told her he could work until midnight Sunday through Thursday and third Friday and Saturday.  He is in school 5 days a week, 18 credit hours.  He has had 3 days of classes and is starting to get enough homework that he can’t do it between classes like he thought he could (i knew it, but he wouldn’t listen to me!) Today he gets a text message from his boss saying she is sorry but she can’t allow him to change his availability.  She can’t allow him?  Excuse me, but he told her TWO months ago that he was going  back to school and he wouldn’t be able to work third but on Friday and Saturday.  He told her he couldn’t be doing those shift and still school and that school came first, we are paying for that.  He told her if he had to he would take a step down and become part time but he couldn’t work third.  She told him he isn’t allowed to take a step down because she needs managers, but also told him she won’t work around his school schedule.  She expects him to be there right up until he has to be in school and work with only getting if he is lucky a four hour nap before work the way she expects him to work.  

I am so sick of her taking advantage of him!  He hates change so much that he won’t confront her about it even if it makes him so upset.  I am at the point where I want to go to his store and just scream at his boss.  I want to tell her what a crappy boss she is and how she needs to work with good employees if she wants to keep them.  I can’t believe how she treats people and she wonders why she can’t keep a manager.

I guess tomorrow he plans on going and talking to her face to face and telling her he can’t work all that she wants him to.  I am going to advise asking for a transfer to the Albion McD’s because they close and he could work there with less hassle to work with his school schedule.  He is also applying all around Meadville, but no luck yet.  I am trying to help him get apps in, but it is hard because most of the time his wallet is in the bedroom with him, and I don’t want to wake him because he hasn’t slept as it is.  The only reason he agreed to work this shift is because he was told she was hiring for third.  Nope, she is hiring crew!  

Grrrr….
