Let the crazy begin …

So as of 9pm Central time last night we finally got our final counter offer accepted by the sellers. Talk about crazy! Them people be nuts!!! Yes I know it is a sellers market out there. Yes I know you people had us pretty much by the balls. But dayuhm! Give us a kiss along with it ya know! People had the nerve to say that a 20 year old house wasn’t "old" enough to warrant them purchasing a home warranty for us. Come again? We had a brand spanking new house years ago that we only lived in for 4 years and needed the home warranty twice! Once for our fridge and then again for our A/C that needed a new compressor. We finally got them to agree to paying half of the cost at least.

And all that headache after having to wait all freaking day for an answer! They are in OK for whatever reason. She left to go to Colorado and left him in OK. So we had to wait for her to get to her final destination, get access to a fax machine, read over our offer, call her husband back in OK, discuss it with him, call their Realtor, etc. See where I am going with this? GAH! Now, why in the hell would you go out of town when you are trying to sell a house and not make yourself readily available to your Realtor? Makes no sense to me. But whatever, we finally reached an agreement and the balls are now rolling. The ONLY thing they had no issue with was us taking early possession before closing. Thank God for that small miracle!

I’ve already laid down law with Hubby that we will be going to get paint & paint supplies on the day we move in & by Sunday night, that awful, awful pink wall in the living room will be gone! I’ve already picked out the color (twice!! The first color was chosen at Lowe’s but the closest Lowe’s to Dodge City is 126 miles away so I had to pick a new color from Walmart lol) and it will be a done deal by bedtime that first Sunday night in the house lol. And we’ll also get The Child’s room done. Her colors will be bought at Lowe’s here before we leave since none of us liked the pink choices at Walmart. I can handle carrying 3 gallons of paint from here to there but not 5 or more lol.

In 3 weeks and 3 days, we will be in Kansas. Hard to believe time is going so fast! we’ve gotten so much accomplished already. Yes, I know the crazy is only just beginning lol. I went ahead to day and arranged for our hotel stay the first night in Dodge City. Next week I will call the cable company to have our services transferred. Thank goodness the same company is in both states since our 12 month contract isn’t up till January lol. Was not looking forward to having to pay an early termination fee with them lol.

Surprisingly this is all I got tonight. Till next time ….
