deja vu

 Déjà vu

Somehow this all seems familiar. The whole moving thing. Oh yeah, I just did this 8 months ago.

I’d love to say that I pray this is our last move but if I did that means we’d live out the rest of our days in Dodge City and I so don’t want that! So hopefully we only have 1 more move left in us. But not for a few years. I can dream anyway lol.

The In-Laws left today. I love them to death. I enjoy every minute I spend with them. Especially Ma. But good Lord this was the worst possible timing for them to come. I’m so physically and mentally exhausted that I don’t know which end is which. I have had the worst sleep of my life, sleeping on the couch. Except for Friday night. That was THE ABSOLUTE WORST night of sleep ever! I slept in my chaise because Hubby was on the couch. Because Mark was in the spare twin bed. My neck and shoulders hurt so bad. I get tears in my eyes getting dressed. Washing my hair has me sobbing. I’m popping Advil left and right and although it helps, it doesn’t fully get rid of the pain. Tonight I will get to sleep in my bed (in a sleeping bag) so hopefully that will help some. My couch sleeping days are done. I told Hubby that I will never give up our bed again unless there is a spare bed (and not filled with air!!!) for me to sleep on. Otherwise our guest will have to deal with me sleeping in the bed with them. I’m done with that shit. His ass gets to sleep in a normal (twin) bed so mine can to from now on.

There were 3 packers to show up this morning. Yay! Two of them are making me dizzy with the speed of which they are getting things done. The 3rd is just plain slow. The only thing I’m not liking about them is that they made us take our pictures, mirrors, etc off the walls. In the past, all of our movers had said, "No! It’s easier on us for us to take them off the walls." Not these guys. It is what it is. They are on the ball and getting the job done so that is all that matters.

So the above part was written 2 days ago. I tried to come back Monday night to finish it, but I was too exhausted.

So then I tried to come back yesterday but it was pretty much the same as Monday … too damn exhausted.

I’m still just as exhausted today as the past week or so. I think my body is getting used to it now and is just somehow managing to carry on. Although I don’t have the added stress of doing everything by myself thanks to Hubby being here for this move instead of in Korea, Hubby being here somehow adds more to the stress lol.

The packers ran out of boxes on Monday so they finished up pretty early that day. Then only 2 of the 3 showed up yesterday so they were late leaving lol. They seemed to do a good job but we shall find out when I start unpacking everything next week lol. Since they were more anal about packing "un-packables", I spent the past 2 nights opening boxes and putting those items in & taping the boxes back up lol. Most of the "un-packables were already hidden away but I guess I overlooked a few things. We have 3 movers today and the driver is on top of his game. He’s running the other 2 ragged lol but they are getting the job done so that is good. Don’t think I will have to worry about them being here for 11 hours like the last ones.

The retirement ceremony was nice. I’d never been to one so I didn’t know what to expect. I sure as hell didn’t expect to be called up and presented with 2 certificates! I was even escorted!!! Even The Child received an "award" for supporting her Dad. We both got flowers also. I’d love to show you all pictures but Photobucket & Tinypic are both being butt heads and won’t open in my browser so I can upload them. Oh well, if you are on my FB then you have already seen them lol. Remind me later to upload them for the rest of you.

Realtor called yesterday and said so far everything was good to go. She said it looked like to her that everything on the list had been taken care of. I asked her if she had pulled the fridge away from the wall and checked the flooring underneath but she said no. Lady, don’t play with me! I will so be doing that on Friday evening when we do the walk through. I won’t give up this battle until *I* am satisfied there is no water damage to the hardwood floor and/or no mold is growing. She said the only thing she was concerned about was that while the basement was empty, the main level still had the sellers stuff in the house. Uhm, ok, as long as it is all gone by the time we do the walk though on Friday at 5 pm. I do not need nor do I want tacky mauve colored recliners.

Hubby was trying to get the movers to deliver our stuff on Saturday, the same damn day we get the key to the house. Thank God they can’t accommodate him!! They are booked for Monday so they will be bringing our stuff on Tuesday. Uhm, what happened to the e-mail you people sent that said y’all were delivering on Monday? Damn people need to make up my mind! So now I will go to enroll The Child on Monday since it is only a teacher workday & the enrollment office will be open that day. Hubby doesn’t feel comfortable with her riding the bus till we get more accustomed to the area & her bus route. Well I can’t take her/pick her up on Tuesday since I have to be there for the movers. So I mentioned that he can drop her off on his way to work. You’d have thought I was telling him he had to give birth or something lol. So if he has HIS way, she will be staying home from school on Tuesday also.

Stupiddamnlazyassgoodfornothingselfcenteredinconsiderateassiammarriedto ….

Ok, I think that is all I can remember for now to catch you all up on. I may or may not be back before Tuesday. This is our last night in this house. We’ll have Internet at the 2 different hotels we are staying in but come Sat. we won’t have Internet until it is hooked up on Monday.

Till next time …
