The Joys of Parenthood

Good evening everyone. How are all of you? I’m exhausted. It has been nothing but Sick Central over here. As I stated in my last entry Ri-Ri and O were sick. Well Ri got over it, but O on the other hand…ugh. Pat and I ended up taking him to the ER last night because he was chocking in his sleep due to all the mucus and the nasal drip. Plus he still has a low grade fever. Anyways, they said he was just sick and we were basically going to have to deal with it. Anyways, sleep hasn’t really came. Owen wouldn’t stop crying or he’d fall asleep and lose the pacifier which in turned started more crying. The only way he stopped crying was putting him in the swing. He did manage to sleep for 3 hour intervals. Pat slept on the couch while I was with Riley. I’ve been sick so sleep with me has been crappy. The minute I lay down, there is the post nasal drip and the crap the REFUSES to leave my lungs. So I cough for about 20 minutes before I can attempt to sleep. Then finding a comfy spot. UGH!!

Anyways, today Owen is doing a lot better. Now he’s playing in his walker. He’s slept most of the day. His fever is 99.3 so…hopefully by the middle of the week he’ll feel better. I’ll call the doctor tomorrow.

But, I have to cut this short. It’s time for dinner, baths, and then bed. Write soon…
