Owen and Riley, what to do with you? *EDIT – PICS*

First off I want to say thanks to everyone that responded to my question. Basically it’s just an old wives tale. Fair enough.

Anyways, last night was rather fun. Ended up in observation again…false labor scare #2!!!!

Well yesterday morning around 8am I went downstairs and went to the bathroom. After peeing I just had this sensation that I had to pee again. Wasn’t really painful just really annoying. It stayed with me all day. So I figured it was the start of a UTI or Bladder Infection. So when I called my mom and told her what I was feeling she figured the same and I told her that I would keep an eye on it and if it didn’t go away by tomorrow [today] then I’d call the doctor. Then around 4 in the afternoon I went and took a shower because the past few days have been 75-80 degrees and I was uncomfortable. I stood up and there was a ton of pressure and what felt like menstrual cramps. My most favorite thing to do…shower…was my least favorite. It hurt to stand, sit, walk, and lay down…I was all over the place. I felt like a pretzel being twisted in all the different positions just to get comfy. Called my brother to see if he’d come back to the house around 8 so I could go back to Pat’s. He got out of work early so I wanted to spend time with him and I felt terrible. You could even see it in my face. He got back and no improvement. Told Pat that I was going to try and eat something then call the Birthing Center seeing by this time it was around 9:30ish and the doctors office is closed. Called the Birthing Center and they told me to come in just as a precautionary. Got there and had to mess around down in the ER just to go to the second floor. Got hooked up to the monitors and right off the bat we had contractions being measured on the screen. Seeing the symptoms I was having they wanted a urine sample to check for a UTI or a BI. I also let them know that my panties were wet. That made people kick it into overdrive. Internal was done immediately. They thought I might have broken my water. Anyways, they did the internal and my cervix is still closed and hard and no leakage. Just the “normal stuff” is how she put it. So the UTI [or BI] looked like the culprit, seeing if that was the case seeing that there was an infection it would irritate the uterus which would be the reason behind the contractions. I had to wait an hour for the results and there were still contractions being measured. The results came back and my urine came up fine. No UTI [or BI]. So I was lost. Why was I having contractions. The only conclusion I got out of anyone at 1:45 in the morning is that I am carrying 2 at 1 time and there is virtually no more room in there for Owen and Riley to stretch out. And seeing I am not a real tall girl…would explain it. They also said the sensation is because my bladder is being smooshed to 3 quarters its normal size, and it’s something I am going to have to deal with until I give birth. So no babies…thank god!!

Pat and I got back to the house and didn’t go to sleep until after 2 this morning so my glucose test didn’t happen. I’ll be doing it on Thursday. Fun fun. Tomorrow I get to go to the dentist for a cleaning at 11am. Other than that, things are fine.

I’m going to try and get pictures on to this entry. Depends on how the digital camera wants to like me today. The other day, seeing Friday was Jessica’s 11th birthday [my sister is growing up so fast and she acts JUST LIKE ME] she had her little friends over Saturday. They were having a pillow fight outside and mom wanted pictures. I put new batteries in it, went to go take a picture and then the thing just shut off. So we’ll see. Just be on the look out for an edit on this entry.

My genious at work. Made homemade popcorn, had to melt the butter so I put it in a plastic bowl for 30 seconds and that is the finished product. My mom thought it was HILLARIOUS!! Excuse the mess!!
