I went to the doctors today… Sooner than later?

Well today started out just like any other day. I had my non-stress test at 10 and then the doctors at 11:15. Non-stress test went pretty good. I had to push Baby A [the one on the left] around a little to get him/her to wake up a little. Seeing he/she wanted to just lay there and chill his hear rate was between 138-148 so they were going to consider that inactive. Well I pushed him/her around and seeing they don’t like being touched [my tummy] at all, [seriously. If you put your hand on my belly they’ll move in the opposite direction. When they go to put the monitors on, it becomes a wild goose chase. Same thing when Dr. Page tries to get the heartbeats. I try and show Pat and have him feel and ask soon as his hand lands on my tummy or I make any indication that they are moving they stop. Crazy children on mine] he/she got mad at me and the heart rate shot up from 138-148 to 168-174. They were satisfied with that so both were active. Had a good NST!!

Then the doctors. I was late for that due to the NST. Seeing that my child on the left didn’t want to cooperate it ran a little late. My appointment was at 11:15, I didn’t get there until 11:30. Got in and told Deana the issues that I have been having. First she weighed me and I’m the same as I was last week. Anyways, the things that have been going on is 1, I had this way of pain that started on the right side of my back and came rushing to the front. I was in the store and I had to stop dead in my tracks. It last about 30 seconds and then I started moving again and it gradually went away. Then the second problem that I have encountered [*Possible TMI*] is that I have been leaking liquid and having discharge or clear and white. The leaking liquid will soak my underwear and go right onto my pants. If I wear white, for instance the only pair of shorts I can wear are white, it stains them a light brownish color.[*End TMI*] Well Deana wrote it down and in came Dr. Page. He found the heart beats and then did an internal. First he asked what position they were in and I don’t know. I haven’t had an ultrasound since April 9. [NEXT ULTRASOUND: JUNE 7, 2007 AT 11AM] He said ok and away he went with the internal. It took him a minute to say anything and what he said just was like a smack in the face. I started to cry. Well he said that my cervix is dilated 1-1.5cm. He then told me he wanted me to go back to the hospital to get a steroid injection to help mature the babies lungs a little faster. So back to the hospital I went.

Got back to the hospital and went back into the same room that I was in for my NST. The nurse came back to the room a the injection. The needle on this thing was this long: ————————>. This injection had to be administered through my hip. So I got on my left side and then she goes “take a deep breath. You’re going to feel a pinch and then a sting.” I took my deep breath and I felt then pinch then she warned me that the sting part was coming and she wasn’t kidding. That shit hurt. I walked out of the hospital holding my back side. You can see where the needle went into my body. I have to go back tomorrow at 12:15 and get it again. I’m assuming they’ll check me again to make sure I didn’t dilate anymore but who knows.

I go back to the doctors next Tuesday, June 5, at 1:45 an my next NST is also Tuesday at 10. Then the 7th is the ultrasound.

In other news, Pat and I got a bank account. Well I got the account. It’s in my name but I told him I was opening it for him so he could see his pay check. So now his mother won’t be able to touch his money!! WOO HOO!!
