Eviction….

Hey everyone. Sorry it’s been so long since I’ve written anything. So much is going on that there is barely no time for me to even breath. Where to start?? Lets start on a ‘happy’ note.

Pat’s birthday was on the 2nd. He turned 27. He’s getting old. Poor Pat gets it from every angle. I pick on his and tell him that I will never be as old as him. He laughs. And then my sister Jessica walked up to him and asked him if he wanted to go toe to walker. I lost it. Pat thought is was hilarious. He’s taking it well. Doesn’t like the fact that he’ll be 30 in 3 years, but can you blame him?

I seen my lawyer about my wrist/hand. They’re going to help me get Workers Comp. He also said that disability should be paying me from when I first was out of work on the 4th of February. So I have a good chunk of money coming my way. However, if I can’t convince them to do it before we go before the judge, the judge will just make them do it anyways. Now it’s just the waiting period. Plus I could be out of work for, he said, maybe a year or more. Oye!!

THEN, we went to Sears on Thursday to do our family picture. What a damn nightmare that was. Owen freaked. He wouldn’t get in any of the pictures, and the ones that he is in, he didn’t smile for any of them. We ended up rescheduling for this coming Thursday at 4 so they can get a nap and lunch in before we go. After we were done we went and took them to Build-A-Bear. They each picked a pony. Owens is your typical brown pony, and Rileys is a pink unicorn. They both got the “night time” lullaby song. Can’t remember the name but you catch my drift…I hope. We did that for there big gift thing for Easter. After all that commotion, we took then to the pretzel store. They each got a pretzel and a Disney Cars cup with Lightening McQueen on it. Oye. When we were leaving Riley darted towards the parking lot and when I grabbed her she dropped her cup and cracked the bottom. No biggie. I’d super glue it and no one would know the difference. Well when we got home she darted towards the apartment building, tripped over NOTHING and landed on her straw and snapped it. I was about to get back in the truck, go back to the mall and get her a new one, but there crabbiness took that thought right away.

We lost our reception hall. [Pat and I decided to go with the original plan when we started to plan the wedding…get married at the Methodist Church and the reception be at the American Legion.] Well last week we got a call from the lady who deals with the planning and stuff. She said that we lost the hall because they “forget there was an event on that day and no one wrote it down.” Plus she even said she forgot, and Legion events hold me priority than our wedding. FRUSTRATION. Speaking of the wedding, we are so broke it beginning to look like we won’t be getting married this year. I was suppose to get my dress off lay-a-way on the 8th of this month and I couldn’t do it. Luckily the lay-a-way manager was cool and is letting me pay small incriminates at a time.

Let’s see, what other GREAT news do I have. Oh yeah, my title. It’s pretty much self explanatory. Pat and I are being legally evicted from out apartment. We can’t pay $710 for our apartment. We pay all this money and we have nothing. We can’t even have our own washer and dryer. There is only 1 washer and 1 dryer for 8 units per building. So on the 16th at 8:30 in the morning Pat and I will be going to City Court for the sum of almost $2,000. I called about this brand new apartment place up the road from us that is income based. Plus Pat called about a 3 bedroom house for rent for $550 a month. I guess is needs paint and cleaning. We’ll have to see it. So yeah. I’ve been an absolute mess. I cried for 2 hours last night. This morning I didn’t even want to get up. I got up with Jessica and the twins, laid down and fell back asleep. Pat even canceled our session with the minister. I went Easter shopping with my mom and I wasn’t even into it. I’m miserable. Pat is too but he’s better at holding it in than I am. We are looking at this as a good thing though, seeing that we do want out of this apartment. I guess I just wanted to do it the legal way instead of being dragged into court. All I keep thinking is about the twins and that we’ll be living on the street. So basically I drifted through the day. I was physically here, but no here if that makes any sense?

Speaking of Easter…mom got them that Crayola Color Wonder paper stuff. Owen got one with Cars and Riley got one with Tinkerbell. I ran through the apartment all afternoon telling them to not eat the markers. Oye. Pat and I got them some construction paper, [washable] crayons, Riley got a giraffe figure, Owen got a lion one, and they each got one [small] chocolate bunny. Should be ok tomorrow. We are going to my Aunt Jeni’s and it will be the twins first year they get to participate in the annual egg hunt. Should be fun hiding at least 100+ eggs through my aunts yard.

Well I think that’s it for the present moment. I’ll definitely let you guys know how everything is going. [I just feel so numb to everything. I feel like an absolute failure as a mother seeing I can’t provide a home for my kids. Please don’t think I did this on purpose.]

Until next time…….
