Doctor updates
Well lets see. For the past 2 days the doctors have had nothing but utterly fantastic news. Lets see, yesterday they called me and I thought it was about how I haven’t went and done my 3 hour glucose test yet. Wrong. They were calling because they got my blood count back. I have a low iron count and I have to start taking iron supplements as soon as possible. That made my day yesterday.
Then today I did go and do my 3 hour glucose test. This time they gave me the “cola” tasting drink. To me it tasted like someone took a can of Pepsi, shoke it for a day, and then let me drink it. REALLY flat soda is all that it reminded me of. Got stuck 4 times. Once when I first got there, then once at 12:19, then once at 1:19, and the final time was at 2:19. A total of second vial things of blood. Anyways, my results were back as soon as I was done. Deana, the nurse for Dr. Page, called while I was still in the building and she wanted me to come back and talk to her. Went into a room and that was when she handed me the One Touch Ultra 2. I get to check my blood sugar everyday 5 times a day. Gestational diabetes…oh joy!! I kind of expected it seeing my mom was borderline with me full blown with my brother. Plus it is more likely to happen to a daughter with a mom who has had gestational diabetes. So on Tuesday I get to meet with a Nutritionist to tell me what I can and can’t eat. I’m so damn thrilled I could do cart wheels!!
The cramping hasn’t gone away. In the morning there is no real cramping. However, when it gets to the afternoon and I’ve been walking or doing something [like laundry or going to the store] they come. All around my pelvic area which then travels to my sides and back. The sensation is still there. Now it reminds me of trying to pass a kidney stone. I don’t want to call the hospital or anything. There is no bleeding so I’m not extremely worried but I am worried that they are coming sooner than I want them to. I have a doctors appointment on the 17th and hopefully things will be semi-ok until then.
Went to the dentist. They said I have beautiful teeth and excellent home care. I do however have one cavity which will be taken care of on the 25th.
I also have a WIC appointment coming up on the 23rd as well. Busy busy busy.
My mom’s birthday is tomorrow. She’ll be 41.
Hmm, what else? Pat and I are good. His mother is still driving me up the fucking wall!! But other than that nothing too major.
Well I am going to end this one. Until next time…toodles!!

Fun, gestational diabetes. I never even made it to my initial test, my son was born the week before it was scheduled. Id say that once the cramping starts if youre up and doing things, to take a break and see if the cramping goes away. It is possible you will need partial bedrest during this pregnancy, esp. since youre having twins. Just please dont overdo it. And if you ever feel that (c)

(c)something is wrong, never hesitate to call or go in and be checked. Drs dont know everything. Only you know your body. I really hope this cramping goes away. It really bothers me. But, then again, Im a bit of a hypocondriac after having my son 4 months early. Take care of yourself and those babies hun. If you have any questions or something seems funny, dont be afraid to note me! *hugs*

Oh I really hope the babies aren’t born too soon! I’m sure its really scary for you! Yeah you should take a break when you start getting crampy and make sure you tell your doctor that this cramping happends just so they are aware of everything!
