SA Results

 Another fun filled roller coaster day. 

Went to the doctor as 10 as planned. Minus Ty as he wasn’t interested and had to work. All was great. Until the nurse realized he hadn’t signed a HIPAA and the doctor really wanted him there too. Ugh. Of course they would. Duh! The nurse is awesome & just scheduled is at 4 when he finishes seeing patients. Awesome. The nurse was very apologetic & said to blame it all on her. . But to get Ty there?  I didn’t really give him a choice. I just sent a text explaining he had to be present and to meet me there at 3:50. He wasn’t impressed but agreed. I guess I can see why you wouldn’t want to sit with strangers and talk about your sperm. But at least he gets to keep his clothes on. 

Of course I then spent the whole day stressed that the results must be really bad if he had to actually be present. I had asked the nurse of she coil give me a rough idea of good or bad and she hadn’t got to look at them but was also very curious. So  all day. Thinking the worst. 

Got there and Ty had actually beat me. Went in. Checked in. He sat down while I was still talking to receptionist. Maybe I am getting to know this little hospital a little too well?  Of course nobody has explained to Ty where you sit. You don’t sit in the front chairs. You sit in the back chairs because if you sit in the front you are forced facing magazines covered in baby bump and newborn pictures. If you sit in the back you have no crazy magazines to look at AND this cool pole blocks you from having to stare at pregnant girls leaving. Guess where he sat? Yep, right where I got to stare at magazines the whole time. Awesome!

The doctor took us back & was awesome as always. Now for the results… Semen Coagulated. Volume – 2.75 (normal 2 – 5). Consistency normal. Semen PH – 8 (Norma 7-8). Concentration 40 mil (normal 20-200). Round Cell Conc – 1 (normal under .9). Motility – 75% (normal 50%+). 90% normal sperm. 5% abnormal mature sperm. 5% immature sperm. Sperm Agglutination 1+ (normal =none). 

Anybody with advanced skills on results want to tell me there personal take on these?  The doctor said the numbers are awesome for concentration & motility etc. But. There’s alway a but. The "Round Cells" are too high which indicates an infection most likely according to the doctor. The agglutination also is way too high and again indicates infection. The doctors theory is he has something like testicularitis (sp?). He thinks if that was cured we could easily conceive on his part. So he treated him with 28 days of some antibiotic that works well in the prostrate area. He’s convinced this will change it. And he stressed to keep trying as it only takes one and he’s got plenty. 

Of course this brought me to… Do I have the problem then? He said he wants to wait 3-4 cycles & if no pregnancy he will start my testing but he’s hesitant to waste a ton of money or start me on meds considering I’ve had three healthy pregnancies. But to have a little more patience. I have a hard time believing that 4 1/2 years of not getting pregnant is all from a simple infection? Guess we see. And he stressed charting so I can have good charts to bring in a few months if needed. 

Ugh. That’s all I can do on my phone. I hate this thing cuts me off when not on a real computer. I guess part 2 will be tomorrow.
