Sunday morning

It seems that my words jumble around in my brain constantly, writing entries, writing notes.  Putting the words to my diary is the hard part.  I do pretty good  leaving notes, it is the writing that gets me.  I don’t know why….maybe because usually I feel like most of what I want to say will sound like whining….I think I have said that before and you are probably tired of this old excuse.  So much in our life is topsy turvy…it is almost like where do I start…….

Today is a beautiful sunny humid day….we got a little tease last week with some really cool nights….hehehe 70degrees.   Hopefully, we will go for a boat ride and to the beach for a walk, we tried to go last Thursday but the red tide was so bad we couldn’t even get over our little beach to the Gulf….before we were coughing our heads off.  So we putputputted up and down the Intercoastal bay near our house.  We still had fun, because that is our intention, fun no matter what price…??

Stanley is out and about already.  He is seeing two patients this morning that he admitted yesterday.  One is a patient with a foley catheter, who had a TURP….and another is a knee patient…..He should be back by  noon and only because he has to go to both ends of Sarasota Co. north and south….Stanley feels the changes coming with aging as an older nurse….at least we think that is what is going on….but, his employer would never admit to that…..He hired in with XYZ home health as fulltime on 6/06…..with benefits….he had to learn to use a palm pilot…no easy task for a man who can not type!  His 90 days were up 9/06 and he would start to receive medical benefits as of 10/01….well the last week in sept. they took him in the HR office and told him that they had hired another RN who was also a PTA. (physical therapy assistant)….sooooooo they were going to take Stanley off fulltime and put him at a PerDiem status…without benefits….we had waited patiently for his benefits to kick in as we have been paying Cobra benefits for him….another fine mess….

I know it seems like it is all about the money all the time..but, that is the way it is…..We both stop and smell the roses but then we go to work….and probably will till we are much older….I am not whining…just stating the facts mam….

The real entry is yet to be written….the story of another botched investment by us….thinking that we could help ourselves and a young couple who might have a difficult time saving 20% down payment….only to create another terrible mess….you see why we call each other Stanley and Ollie…….more later…it is a long tiring story…..from 2003 to the present….maybe I should write it in word and the copy paste it here?
