Peaceful retreat

This past Saturday was the first time in a long time that we were home with only ourselves and no commitments.  We had decided that we would spend the time regrouping and rethinking this big change we will accomplish in maybe less then a year…we are both excited and happy to be making a change but it is still a little scary.  We both love history and we sure picked a good state to find history! beautiful South Carolina…nothin could be finer….we go up in May to close on the last home we will ever own….I call it my rebirth dying home….Stanley calls it , "finally being a grandpa home"…..We both will be working but we plan to take the pontoon boat with us and hopefully spend some weekends on Lake Wateree….I thought I would post a few pictures of our Florida front yard to show you the peace and solitude Stanley has created here for us…
Peaceful setting for us to enjoy the evening…

a peaceful walk through Myaaka State Park….this ones for you gray tabby!

and from last June a night blooming wonderful

how much fun shows in this face!

Have a great evening friends…..tight hugs and kisses,   Ollie

How lovely–we of course have some of the same plants–you will have such a different yard in NC. I know it will be a good move for you and your happiness shines through. Stanley has done a good job with this yard–and it looks like a waterwise landscape too, even better!

my youngest brother recently moved to near charleston, south carolina. not sure he likes it but it’s where he is for now. i think he’d prefer to live in the mountains of north carolina, if he had a choice. take care,

Stanley can create more beauty when you arrive at your new home. And you can relax and enjoy.

ryn: yes, you got it when it comes to that foot stool– some of us are post-modern women AND pioneer women at heart, etc.; I’m a post-modern woman AND a Victorian woman at heart.

Very pretty setting in Florida. But South Carolina is also beautiful and there’s nothing better that being close to your family.
