A day of testing….my computer that is
It seems that my computer has a life of its own. I spent a month from Dec. to Jan of this year working with Dell to fix a problem that kept me offline for a month. Working with these young people in India was sometimes hopeless, I am sure they have some expertise in computing but I could never understand what they were saying to me…at one point the tech had me working inside the computer, ugh, that was terrible as my forte is not mechanical…..

I am trying this morning to remember how to post pics, our friend Polly gave me excellent instructions a while back but alas during all the computer problems I misplaced the instructions…I wrote this entry in word and then copied/pasted it here…so this is not so much as a hello to you all but a work in progress for me….even though…HELLO ALL..

Hello Ollie. I hope you have your computer problems sorted out now. I uploaded my photos onto Photobucket (www.photobucket.com) then copied and pasted the Tag where I wanted the pic to be in my diary. Hope you get it sorted.

because of where Dell has sent it’s tech resources I doubt I ever own another one.

Darn the computer problems!!! Thought mine had died and the thought of being cut off OD almost panicked me. Wasn’t this iMac, tho, the telephone line went dead for a couple of hours. It has had ~5000 hours of on time with no significant problems

Ollie, I have gone onver the note that you left me several rimes. Did I hurt your feelings in any way? If I did then I am most certainly very sorry about it. Feel free to leave a few privite notes at my diary to tell what I have done to you. I wouldn’t hurt you for the world. Love,

Well, you know how I feel about this issue so I will not say much except that when I had to deal with them I completely blew my cool and was very rude. I resent the megamillion dollar companies hiring non native English speakers to serve as technical support to save money. I don’t like being mean and nasty but it’s so frustrating. RYN: hope you like the recipe.

Ollie…love that photo of you–you look very youthful! Just found that our two weeks plus of computer problems was due to an old connection to cable in the attic that was sending too high frequencies to our computers. now all is good again…hope it lasts. I use snapfish and it’s really easy. I could explain it–ipso facto helped me. Do you still have my number?

Ollie, it’s nice to find a note from you in my diary. I wonder sometimes where you are. Your entry makes me very sure I do NOT want to ever get a Dell! 🙂 Good luck with yours….hope you will be back online much more now.

I think we all know how it feels when the computer goes haywire, Ollie! Had to deal with those people in India also but on a credit card. I guess the wages are less there but it is nearly impossible to get anyone to understand what you are saying. Sigh! Glad it is back up though. Many hugs, dear friend,
