5/5/07….morning
The morning is cool….but, it won’t last for long….the air is getting thicker with each day around here…a gentle breeze is rustling the green outside my window as I type…..the morning sun is lighting up the fence like a spotlight. Stanley has taken his morning outside shower and is taking his morning walk about, with cup of coffee in hand……au natural…I must add….glad to have this planned secluded garden right here on the corner of the neighborhood….heheheh…my woodsman….wherever life lands us I know we must have trees and green….and water… The washing machine is chchchswwoooshsing along and Rosie is here by my feet. Awwww, life is good…..at least if we shut out all other obstacles…..just revel in this wonderful morning…..
I am going to a surprise birthday lunch today. My good friend and mentor is 70 years young on May 13th….we have a common bond as that was my Dad’s birthday and Stanley’s brothers birthday also…..I wonder if my Dad had his birthday on Mothers’ Day in the years past….I’ll have to check that…..My friend also loves Scotties like I do and she has one now….maybe someday I’ll get another Scottie….maybe a Westie….
A doc I work with is moving and selling a lot of wonderful furniture….I am buying an armoire from him…but, I thought it was next week….so, I am not sure if we will get over to his house today or not….
I’m off to enjoy the day! Hugs,
I enjoyed reading your description of your morning, and Stanley’s morning stroll gave me a good cuckle, too! We are having just such a morning. The sun filtering through new green leaves, and everything has a sparkley transparency to it. Instead of the washing machine, I’m listening to the grate grate grate of the rat I’m babysitting. My daughter is gone for the weekend and she left all the other animals at home. I’ll go down later and feed them. She brought Sister Fat Rat up here because her sister died last week and she didn’t want her to be alone. I don’t care for rats, but I feel an affinity to this one for her loss. In truth, she’s probably just thrilled to have all the food to herself! And that’s my morning! No aunatural men wandering around the place — just a snoring one and a rat waiting to be fed. Life is good.

My daughter’s birthday is May 12th and I labored all Mother’s Day for her and she made her presence early Monday morning. Hope the party is/was good.

I hope you get the armoire. It sounds really neat. I need one for my guest room to hold (my) clothes. I need to have a garage sale and sell some of them, but I love my clothes! It is always good to hear from you, Ollie! Love,

I hope it was a wonderful day, Ollie!!! I thought of you when I posted the entry with photos of the coffee shop because you always wanted to come and have a cuppa with me when I wrote about it. I am so glad to see you here once again, sweet friend! Love,

I’d do that, too but not on a golf course I suppose, which shares my back yard border–I feel rather exotic walking outside at five a.m. in my robe with my coffee cup at hand.
