Phase I Begins
I’m not doing NaNoWriMo this year. I am, however, in Phase I of this year’s writing project, which involves adding 25,000 more words to my non-fiction opinion piece I started last year. I’d like to get it to a healthy 75,000 words or so.
Then Phase II will take over, and I will edit the crap out of it all.
Two quotes come to mind for both phases:
You have to be willing to write badly. – Alyson Hagy
Try to leave out the part that readers tend to skip. – Elmore Leonard
Anyway, enough with the boring details. Suffice it to say that today I wrote 3,685 words about my Caribbean vacation early this year. I’ve been meaning to do that ever since I went on it.
Good luck working on the manuscript. Hope it works out well! Cheers,
