Joe Biden and the Lord Almighty

Joe Biden was put into a sort of catch 22 when the media put him in a position where calls by some in the Democratic Party for President Biden to step down does nothing in mainstream discourse but convey the impression that the Democratic Party is divided and cannot defeat what Donald Trump represents: the greatest threat to liberty and democracy since World War II and if you caught the Hitler comparisons in the State of the Union I think you might be on to something.

In the mainstream media Trump never quite gets called on for how he moves his mouth in ways that should call into question his cognitive capacities every second of every day and make him look a whole lot more evil than a mere bully on a playground while Biden is put into a position where he gets called unfit for the job because his cognitive abilities are being scrutinized by people who want to skew the fact that a president who is confident and knows what he is doing and I certainly would give him an A if I were his international relations professor despite his ‘slip ups’ regarding who his vice president is and who is the president of Ukraine. Anyone grading this as a paper would see beyond such trivial matters to the fact that this is a student who knows what he is talking about and if giving the NATO speech were his assignment in my class based on my perception of what is going on I think I would have to give him at least an A.

While Trump gets away with saying so many absurd things that he seems about to create a world where no words really mean anything at all unless he says they do, Biden gets called weak for not conceding that he is not fit to run for office, like something is wrong with him for not realizing he is not fit to run, and that is exactly how the forces of injustice hope to win this election. A great president who goes down in history as a great president could only be a president who will not abandon this race in a crisis at the possible end of democracy unless the Lord Almighty gives him the direction to do otherwise.

Is it really necessary to have the vice president take over Joe Biden’s responsibilities at this moment in time just so that a prosecutor who knows how to sniff through fishy things like this can call out foul play and the spiking of coffee perhaps at the supposed ‘debate’ between the felon Donald John Trump and President Joe Biden? In such a situation I would slip up on some of the most major details about world leaders, too, maybe on purpose, because I’d be talking to the international community and saying, look, do you see the political games that are going on in my own country right now, speaking effectively and forcefully on foreign policy and getting called unfit for lead because I say Vice President Trump? What if I had said Vice President Palpatine, then would you have thought I was joking?

One wonders what Hegel might say about this moment in history where the Supreme Court of the United States has sanctioned a president to do violence against any political opponent he or she wishes and in that light we only hope that Kamala Harris’ talents are being used at the fullest capacity right now but is it really necessary to disrupt this election with a candidate change at a time when we are a month from the convention and the election is in a virtual dead heat by the two most recent polls?

Joe Biden, having received an A in my international relations class for his NATO Summit speech in Lithuania, speaks like a leader for our times when, in proclaiming that he will run a campaign until the Lord Almighty advises him on an alternate course, mirrors Emerson’s words in Self-Reliance that “God will not have his work made manifest by cowards,” and the Lord Almighty is at work in this election, so can we trust President Biden to steer the ship, please?

Those who have legitimate concerns about possibly needing someone with Kamala Harris’ exact qualifications heading the executive branch at a time like this could be equally loud about the need for unity. Joe Biden has done nothing wrong and is simply receiving a lot of unfair criticism based on nothing but ageism and forces bent on destroying the unity necessary to get us to go out and vote for him in the largest numbers in recorded history.

I hope voices suggesting that Democrats run a candidate other than Joe Biden right before the DNC will speak a little louder for the need for unity if they are going to continue calling for such changes: no matter what, we vote for Joe Biden. If the Lord Almighty does not instruct Joe Biden to hand the ticket over to Kamala Harris and Alexandria Ocasio=Cortez, this is not an indictment on Joe Biden, and nothing, I mean nothing, should keep us from getting out and voting for Joe Biden in November.
