I got a job (sort of)

I booked a tarot reading party for Friday evening. I read tarot cards for fun and occasionally I do parties like girls night out or spooky Halloween parties. So I have the one and  thought I was  going to get another but I think that one fell through. They are paying me cash which is the way I want it. I can always use cash.

A little background on this. I have been interested in tarot cards for many years. However I never did anything with them for a long time. About a year ago, I got involved in a class on tarot reading and then joined a group of fellow readers. This was before covid hit. Now they still meet up once a month but I haven’t gone to meetings in several months. We had a lot of fun at the meetings. Hopefully I can go back soon when I think it’s safe. They do wear masks and socially distance but still. Don’t want to take a chance. But this party should be fun. I will wear a mask and stay away from the crowd. Which is only 6 people. And I will bring hand sanitizer so I am sure it will be fine. I always take precautions. I don’t have health insurance so I can’t afford to get sick. That would pretty much ruin me.

Hopefully I can start doing this on a more regular basis for some extra cash, I sure could use it.

In the meantime, I have a few other projects going on. I want to get those going as well.

I feel kind of blah today. Must be the change of seasons. I like the fall but it doesn’t last too long here. Before you know it, it will be cold and snowing. That’s one thing I don’t like about living near Chicago. Oh that and how expensive it is to live here.

My birthday is next month and I am keeping it low key. It is a few days after the election so hopefully I will be very happy that Trump is gone. If not, I will be super depressed. But regardless, my daughter invited me over to her place for dinner and cake. That’s fine by me and I appreciate that she thought to do that. Birthdays aren’t that big of a deal anymore. My next big one will be 65 so I can go on Medicare, woo hoo! That’s 2 more years to go! Big party then lol.

I can hear the wind howling outside. I wonder if that means there’s a cold front moving in. The temps have been unusually warm so that’s about to change soon. My old bones are complaining.
