Tom Sellecks’ Toasters!
Well, hello, friends! Your ol’ pal Odd Petunia here, wanting to apologize for the Whiney Panda Parade I plastered up in here with my first two posts. It occurred (occured? That definitely doesn’t look correct…) to me that life is a weird gift, and by my estimation, one you can only count on getting for sure just one measely time. So, instead of dodging raindrops and staring at the ground, look up! Observe life and it’s strangeness and excellence on every surface of every damn thing around you. Cause it’s there. If you’re whiney and moapey and everything only saddens you further, remember that what you aim at determines what you see and that if you have only a hammer in hand, everything around you start to look like nails. The moral of the story is: Head up! Eyes forward! Go forth and be strange and awesome! And read this here bit coming up, because it, my dear, is a fantastic piece of “Wow!”
Love is sufferingLove is the desire to see unnecessary
suffering ameliorated
Truth is the haindmaiden of love
Dialogue is the path to truth
Humility is recognition of personal insufficiency —
— and the willingness to learn
To learn is to die voluntarily
And be born again
In great ways
And small
So speech must be untrammeled
So that dialogue can take place
So that we can all humbly learn
So that truth can serve love
So that suffering can be ameliorated
So that we can all stumble forward —
— to the kingdom of God
