Poetry: Elementals of Love

Elementals of Love
=====================================
Two flames
Burn in silent reverie
While others flicker in the past.

Two flames
Join closer in sanctity
Without caring who comes last.

Fire, like other elements,
Explains love so true.
Water, an opposing kin,
Douses golden with blue.

Yet with it’s quench,
Still expresses love so deep;
Love burning brightly
And protected it will keep.

The wind in the air,
Show’s love’s many faces.

From dark and stormy rainy nights,
Causing rough seas and anguish —
To relaxing breezes for seagull fights,
And comfort for the vanquished.

The earth provides integrity
And hard-packed reliance;
One of love’s stable platforms
To combat our foe’s reliance.

A reliance on each other,
Is relevant and fair —
No one else but your mother
Can you depend when in despair.

A partnership of elements,
Demonstrating the force of will,
Taking names of those who embrace it,
And casting out those who speak ill.

To speak of love everlasting
Brings me back to the flame;
The flame’s that’s never waning —
Like our love it is the same.
