Where it’s at.

When Madaya was staying with us over spring break, she Googled something.

Seven years old.

Googling.

And guess what she Googled.

Math problems. She found her self a site where she could go and do math quizzes.

I love that kid.

___________

There was only one time her mom called while Madaya was with me.

Did I tell you guys about that? Her mom wanted to kidnap her while she was at my house over spring break and take her back to Texas and not tell her dad.

She was very high when she tried to plan all this.

Somehow she thought I would just turn Madaya over unbeknownst to her dad.

Yeah.

Anyway, she called me late Friday night and left a message.

It said "What? You too pussy to answer the phone, bitch?"

It was quite tasteful. She was high again/still.

I guess she some how made it to Minnesota and really was going to follow through with her plan.

I called the cops and asked them to increase presence in my neighborhood.

And then I sat shaking for like 3 hours because I had two little cuties upstairs in bed sound asleep.

I am not sure if she knows where I live. I sent her one letter while she was in prison but I can’t remember if I sent it from my last address or my current address.

Needless to say, nothing happened.

But I was terrified she would come banging on my door, wake the kids up, scare the kids, and try to break her way into my home. And who knows what kind of people she would be with. Her pimp? Someone with a gun?

In an argument a few weeks ago, Chewie mentioned he was going to ask me to marry him.

He said he "talked to his mom about it Thursday," and was going to talk to my parents about it the following Sunday.

Interesting.

I was quite upset that he decided to say that during an argument.

You just spoiled it.

*shrugs*

Sorry I haven’t been noting much lately. Been so swamped at work.

I usually work, and then I go home and work some more.

People have started commenting about why I am sending out emails after midnight all the time.

I smell another promotion in the air, though – inspite of our layoffs and the economy.

Maybe later this summer.

This time I will be moved to Director.

Because I do all of the things the other Directors do, but I do it better, and I also have several additional responsibilities that they don’t have.

We’ll see.

___________

Ruby is a good watch dog.

When Madaya was with us, she was beating up Chewie. And then Ruby started to get really protective of Chewie.

So then Chewie pretended to beat me up and I pretended to be hurt and she totally went after Chewie.

So then I wanted to see if she always protects the "weaker" party, so I pretended to beat up Chewie and she went after me.

Good dog.

She is afraid of red drinking cups though. Not sure why.

She backs up all funny if we drink from red cups.

___________

Learned something about Isaiah and his accidents.

He had two accidents at our house one day last week while Madaya was in town.

I asked him if he ever got embarrassed when he had accidents now that he is 6 years old.

He said at school he does, which is why he doesn’t have accident at school anymore, he tells me.

And then I said "don’t you feel bad when mommy and daddy and Troy and Jessie have to clean up your dirty clothes and the mess you make?

And he said rather matter of factly (almost as if he was proud) "nope! That’s my mom’s job to clean up my pee!."

So there you have it. Just like everything else, she doesn’t hold him accountable so he has learned it’s acceptible at home and not at school.

So then I said "what if your dad wet his pants, would you want to help him clean it up?"

And of course he said "no way! That’s gross!"

And I agreed.

___________

The one year anniversary of Maggie’s death is approaching. So in honor of her, we are resurrecting our annual Risk Tournament, scheduled for the one year anniversary, this Saturday. She loved Risk, and her and her husband often held tournaments that included 50 or 60 people.

Well, the last couple years of Maggie’s life, they didn’t hold any tournaments.

I am excited to go. I am not a huge Risk fan, even though I must say I have never lost all the times I have played that game – NOT ONE TIME. But Chewie LOVES Risk.

He can’t go though.

We can’t find anyone to watch Isaiah, and Isaiah wouldn’t have much fun while grownups sat around and played Risk for 10 hours straight.

Aw! Googleing math problems! Amazing she came from the kind of parents she did!!! And I can’t believe Isaiah would say that!!! Geez! And my parents dog is VERY protective of my mom! It’s crazy! If I even hug my mom, she goes WILD!!! (I just noticed there’s a lot of exclamation points in here. Heehee.)

so, make him clean up his own mess from now on. there ya have it.

She’s so bright. It’s awesome that she’s so possitive towards the idea of learning. :]

I love Isiah’s logic

*I* am going to steal her, ftw.

I remember when I was little I loved to do those workbooks that taught you how to read….learning was fun back then. I’m glad nothing happened with Madaya’s mom. What a bitch…. I hope you get that promotion! 🙂

Wow, so many things in one entry. Little Madaya sounds amazing. AND, OMG! MARRIAGE??

April 8, 2009

Oh Chewie… {gentle smack upside the head} whasthemattawhichyou??? That’s not something you bring up in an arguement! Congratulations anyway! I LOVE IT! 🙂

April 9, 2009

I’d watch them if I lived close! =) Isaiah is just doing it to get attention? That is definitely a thought to ponder. *hugz*

MsTT…how many times I gotta tell you? Chewie’s a guy. And as a guy myself, I gotta tell ya, we’re not that bright! Still…argumaent or not, it was nice (for us, at least) to hear he has sense enough to want make sure he keeps you in his life forever!

I’m glad Madaya had a good time. Our dogs love our red Solo cups…especially to shred and string around the house. Have fun ‘risking’!

I was freaking out because I remember noting this, but then I remembered why I probably can’t see it, and I stopped being a spaz. *sigh* I have a tiny, tiny brain.

April 13, 2009

wow. that high mom sounds craaaaaazzzzzzyyyyyy!

ryn; I’m looking for anything, really. I’d do administration and I’d even do telemarketing if that’s what it came to. I’m not really picky but I know I don’t want to work at Mcdonalds or anything! 😛 And wtf, I thought I commented on this entry! 🙁 I’m excited about everything you wrote though!!! And I’d totally gcome play Risk with you guys.
