Cleaning out the digital camera

Today was a good day.

For one, I "worked from home."

Which means that I only accomplished a couple things that had to get done. Then the rest of the day, I did work around the house.

It was almost 60 degrees today.

I love spring.

Isaiah had his birthday party yesterday. He had a joint celebration with his 3 year old cousin, Steven. Forty-one people were there. All family.

So Isaiah got way too many presents that he didn’t need. Makes me feel guilty. If it was up to me, I would never have a birthday party for a six year old that involved 41 people anyway….but that’s just me.

I wish that people could have given cash if they felt compelled to give a gift and then Isaiah could have decided which charity he wanted to donate the money to.

He doesn’t need more cars, trucks, and guns.

He really doesn’t.

Because he got so much stuff, it meant we basically had to clean the whole house to make room for it.

We decided that we would go through all of his existing toys and make 4 piles of toys we were getting rid of:

1. Toys for Madaya
2. Toys for Isaiah’s cousin Steven
3. Toys we are selling in the garage sale in June
4. Toys we are donating

And in order to have a place to put all of these toys we were getting rid of, I had to clean the upstairs closet to start some bins where we could put garage sale stuff. And then we rearranged his whole room so he had more "play space." And we found homes for all of his new things.

Anyway.

I cleaned out my digital camera today too. Below are some photos.

Here the cats are making sure its safe to come downstairs. They were on the lookout for Ruby.

Here is Isaiah at one of his wrestling matches (he is in the maroon and his teammates are in the background). This is the match he quit halfway through because he was losing. Wrestling ended this past Saturday.

Isaiah is playing his favorite computer game.

This is a lake. Yes, a lake. And the people on it are ice fishing. Yes, ice fishing. I don’t get it either.
This lake is the lake just down the street from my house.

This is what I had to run through the day Ruby got loose. All. This. Snow.
And I had my pajamas on. And no jacket. And no socks. Just Chewie’s way-too-big shoes.

This is the dog bite a couple days afterwards.

This is Chewie yesterday at Isaiah’s birthday party. He is coloring on the sidewalk with his 1 1/2 year old niece Mariah.

This is Mariah. So cute.

This is Isaiah with his 4 year old cousin Logan. Logan is a doll. He has the sweetest little laugh and giggle.

This is Isaiah and the other birthday boy Steven getting ready to blow out their candles. Chewie is in the background.

The end.

Holy dog bite! I hate ice. I’m VERY afraid I’ll fall through. Eep.

WOW That’s a lot of snow. HAhahaha! Ah, dogs…. They can smell dead people and moles and stuff. I like the picture of Chewie coloring, that’s the kind of thing good people do.

I completely understand the overabundance of kids toys. I had to bug my boyfriend about his daughter’s toys for 6 months before anything was done. We’re talking so many toys that they didn’t even fit in her bedroom. There was literally no room to sleep in there… totally ridiculous.

Everyone seems to be wearing stripes in the last picture! And the dog bite looks really nasty 🙁

Oh man that bite looks bad! Love the kitty pic… Isaiah is a cutie. I totally agree with you about the size of the birthday party. I hear that kids bday parties are becoming outrageous nowadays. Talk about teaching our kids entitlement…. sheesh! Glad your bite is healing up!!

Did your dog bite you…or was it another dog?

March 17, 2009

WOW on the bite. That’s REALLY bad. Maybe I missed it, but did you decide to keep her? I’m freezing just looking at all that ice & snow. ICK!!!

Chewie and Isaiah are dressed alike. Too Cute! Thanks for sharing! The dog bite kinda looks like a paw. But still it was a nasty bite. I guess she’s doing better now?
