whew, settling in…
It was a little longer than anticipated… but I guess to some extent you forget just what a huge upheaval moving is. It was so traumatic and horrid this time that I never ever want to move again. But it’s done and all that remains is a few straggly, unimportant boxes. They’re in the garage.
I thought my cable internet was going to be connected last Tuesday… it wasn’t done until Saturday and then I rolled my ankle and was in so much pain that I haven’t managed to sit down until now. Ugh.
We rescued little "Patchy" last Thursday night and he’s settling in nicely (and proving just how un-house broken he really is)… I’m becomming great at detecting when a ‘piddling’ session is on the way and getting him to his favourite tree just in time! Little boys and their ‘bits and pieces’ also get much more excited at times than I realised (my first experience with a male dog) and I seem to be the target of choice when it comes to a poinking moment (see: humping for last explanation). I am told that de-sexing him will help decrease his horney moments so once we’re up-to-date with all the bills I will consider this. Lucky for me he has come fully vaccinated, wormed (including the heart worming thingy) and microchipped so the only real cost for me (apart from food etc) would be the spading.
What else. Oh… Courtney, went to the Sass sale… OMG, awesome… truely it was… and I got heaps of stuff… but their "plus range" isn’t going out until the next big sale so I will keep my eyes peeled for you.
This morning was a bit controversial because my boss (at the private nursing job I go to) fired Pippa. Ydes I spent the better part of 2 hours consoling her this morning and trying to pretend I didn’t really know what was going on. I mean, yes… T had spent a little bit of time having a chat with me… but I didn’t know it would go that far. Needless to say I was a bit shocked at how quickly everything went. It opens the door for me to do a few more shifts per week which will be good to get us right on top of things, but it has also opened the door of possibility that this job won’t last forever. Having said that I need to keep that in the forefront of my mind because I can tend to get very comfortable in these types of positions. So i’ll ride the wave for as long as possible but will not be shocked if it finishes as quickly as it started.
I still have to sit down and get started on this darn essay for school. I don’t know if it’s because I had a period of time off study, but it seems that much harder this time around to get motivated. I want a bit of that kick ass drive that Kara has. doh.
Anyway, better keep at it. I’m crusading today in the cleaning department and the place is sparkling. I have to go andpay some bills and buy some groceries yet!!!

Glad you’re moved in. Too bad you hurt your ankle. Of course tath stuff would happen when you need to be moving around more I’m sure. I remember when I moved last time, I have the sae feeling as you do now… I never want to move again. But I know I have to. I know when too and I dread it. Good luck writing your essay and hope you get to relax a bit soon!
