My toes are cold…

The week-ends are soooooo nice. They spell a lack of daycare children. Mind you, it’s Sunday afternoon now and I am positively dreading waking up tomorrow morning. This has definately run it’s course…. *closes eyes and channels willpower* "3 months, 3 months, 3 months!" I’m like Eddy from "Ab Fab" (and if you don’t know it then you’ve not watched enough British comedy)  and I’m "chanting as we speak…"

I did the weekly weigh-in and was rather thrilled with another 3 lb weight loss. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m still very much a ‘kilo’ girl (metric measurements people!). The only issue is that I don’t have access to a sale that will weigh me in kilo’s so it’s a little difficult to swap every 5 minutes. I figure it’s easier to just do it one way or the other. Pounds, kilo’s, kilo’s pounds… Apples, oranges etc etc… In the end it’s all much of a muchness. So… 11 lbs so far. That’s about 5.5 kilos or something so it’s not radical and I’m happy. Surprisingly enough it’s made an enormous difference. I can totally see the changes so far and I think this was the point I needed to get to. As soon as you start to see the changes, you just naturally kick into a higher gear and it all becomes rather easy. I call it the "zone." I don’t even really have to think. My portion sizes have decreased because my stomach has… I’m now tracking my food intake every day whether it’s on the website or in my journal. I take note of calories and I make sensible decisions. Even going out to dinner and lunch is easier and I usually opt for the salad. I’m not going gung-ho with the working out. I do lots of DVD work-outs because off the convenience. I’m 2 weeks into "Slim in 6" which is like a more feminine version of P90X (if you’ve heard/seen of that). Once that is done I will get into P90X as my Sis-in-law is doing it and says it’s tough but an amazing workout. I really like my Wii Active and find that it gives me some decent workouts. I’m skating 3 times per week and that makes my thighs burn! I nearly broke my wrist yesterday… I tell ya, it’s a dangerous sport. I bought some Derby skates (incidently enough they were only used twice) from a chick on Craigslist. She was a serious Derby girl who’d come here from Florida. She had to sell them because she fractured her leg (Tib/Fib) vertically (had split it) as well as in several places across ways. OWCH. Dr said she could never skate again.

Soooooooo I benefited with her $400 skates for $60 (will take photos). They’re pretty awesome too, I just need to change the shoe laces from hot pink. They’re all black Riedells with Turquoise wheels. Super super comfy but DAY’AM those things go fast. I took them for a spin at the rink last night and was shocked by the smoothness…. They were SOOOOOO smooth that I kept overbalancing. I think they’re gonna take some time to get used to. Have established that Saturday nights at the rink aren’t as much fun in the 4pm-8pm slot. Too many little kids (families/birthday parties), too many people and the ones that CAN speed skate really fast are a little too careless with those of us who are still learning the technique. *shurgs* I do have to learn to skate with people who are breathing down my neck so it’s a good learning curve but there’s no reason I need to ovewhelm myself.

I was going to head there tonight but my knee is still hurting (and despite the bruise turning a bit yellow, I think the internal bruising ensues) so I decided to give it a miss. Have house work to do too (bummer eh?) so will wait till Thursday night speed skating class before I go again.

I went out on Friday night with some of Jimmy’s workmates wives.’ We had a great time, lots of laughs and despite my car come unstuck in the electrical department (whilst driving down the highway all the lights suddenly came on and the "Door ajar" light was flashing. No doors WERE open of course, it’s just decided to be a retarded, old lump of shit) and causing my vehicle to look like ‘Cash Cab’ the entire way home to the point that I was tailed by a cop almost to my front door (..and he COULD have pulled me over so I was very glad he was feeling somewhat nice), it was a great night.

I’m all nervous about trying on my wedding dress again. I mean, by March 13th I want to be at least 185lbs. They can only take the dress in 2 sizes (which is normal otherwise it ruins the shape) so I want to be able to order the smallest size possible so that I can maximise my weight loss by the time it arrives and it ready for alterations!!!.

I’m watching Cops and my feet are cold. I’ve dragged the recliner all the way over to the fireplace and I’m sitting here with the blanet over me like a granny. I should get socks but I’m being lazy. I should also go put my bedsheets in the dryer so they have a fighting chance of being warm by the time snoozin’ should happen. I ALSO need to clean my fridge and mop the floors but it’s Sunday and I CBF right now. Lazy sod.

Jimmy returns from the field this coming Friday and I have a whole 3 weeks with him before he flys to Lousianna for a month. Ugh. Army can be so b/s sometimes!!!
