licked.

That would be one exam licked. THANK-GOD IT IS OVER!

We were placed in the stuffiness of Building B (which is like the basement gym area) which had no circulating air, no air conditioning and no cool breeze. They opened one frikking door and there was about 400 of us in one room. ahhhhhhhh.

Anyhoo I was very very nervous about the exam. It did nothing to lessen my stress when I got to Uni to discover that they had changed the exam so that there were NO multiple choice questions!!! Part of my study invloved pulling up the last 3 years’ exam papers and they ALL had a component of multi choice questions, something that I am quite comfortable with, so discovering that our exam was going to be solely short answer questions was kinda annoying. As it turned out everything went fine. I answered all but 2 questions and that’s because I had complete and utter mental shutdowns, forgot what the answers were and made a decision not to torture myself, they wree only worth 1 point each so I didn’t lose any sleep over them. The important thing is that the longer question I knew and knew well. I think I passed well. After all "P’s get Degree’s!" *grin*

I went and picked up my assignment (that is the big 3000 word one that I had due in September). It was a more difficult essay than i’ve done in a long time, mainly because it was a scientific topic and I tend not to be as great with those ones. I got a Credit which is good, I’m happy with it (despite the fact that my friend Darren that I gave extensive assistance to – right to the point of writing most of his last paragraph and conclusion *whacks head* – received a Distinction. I also had Rosemary correcting my assignment who is a notoriously hard marker. She told me I did excellent research, tackled the analysis very well but that I could have expanded slightly on my conclusion. I will take that and use it to improve on my next assignment. I was also at a slight disadvantage because I wasn’t at Uni first Semester (exempted – advance standing) so I wasn’t sure of their expectations. Like i’ve said, TAFE is quite different. I’m told that there were many students that failed this essay, so I’m just glad I did Ok.

So now I’m just preparing for my last exam on Tuesday.I won’t lie, this one I’m NOT looking forward to. If I wasn’t born a natural science brain then I definately wasn’t born a natural math brain and this one is all statistics etc. Ugh ugh ugh. Blergh!!!!

Keep those fingers and toes crossed for me eh?

Wow glad you made it through the one today. Sounds miserable being all hot and stuffy and then adding stress on top of that. Good luck with the one later in the week too!

sometimes I find the multi choice ones harder, esp when you get 4 answers that are all quite similar. fingers and toes crossed, makes it very hard to type though. lol
