i promise to write a big, long entry…
Among other things…
Lisa and her mother are disappearing to the land of Versace in Queensland for a few days tomorrow so no doubt I will have a few days of peace and quite. Today I spent chasing 2 VERY energeti 11 yearolds around Chadstone… whoo. My poor bottom couldn’t handle the workout (let alone my blasted ankle and other affiliated injuries). I’m sure there is a skinny girl just waiting to jump out of me… but she wasn’t making any sudden appearances today (*puff puff*)… so unless a surprise appearance on "Bodywork" (Aussie reality cosmetic TV show) is in the pipeline, maybe she’ll stay safely tucked inside my invisable "6 pack" until Ms. Craig wants to rescue her!!!! (Ok, that was a very long winded paragraph all for the sake of a laugh… sorry).
Anyway, no i’m not going to Queensland. I need a few days break from them. Really, they are high maintenance… I promise.
But here is the good news. I finished that mutha of an essay that I just didn’t want to do. I feel great. My other assignment for my online subject is done too. All I have let is a lab prac exam tomorrow morning (@ sparrows fart might I add – i’ll still be wiping the sleep from my eyes!) and then I have 10 days off before clinicals start. Bliss! I’m quite looking forward to clinicals. This time round it’s all injections and IV lines… woooo… really cool stuff. I’m also hoping like crazy that one of my weeks is spent on the maternity ward. A friend who did her clinicals there last year got to go there and I was sooooo jealous. I can practically hear them calling my name. BABIES!!!!! yayyyyyyy.
I still have to go and pick up my shirts from the uniform manufacturer. Really snazzy they are… White with maroon and navy stripes and a big, fat university logo on the pocket. *grin* I’ve bought 3 pairs of these super comfy navy pants and they are also the crushless type so you basically sling them in the washing machine and they come out as if they’ve spent 4 hours at a drycleaners. magic stuff. I love low maintenance clothing. Quite slimming too… not that I’m usually the first to say that (because if anyone has critisisms it’s me… lol) but they’re not bad. I just have to pick up some small studs for my ears (I only have hoops and dangly thingy’s – not allowed those, "they’re not regulation") and the orthotic wedges for my shoes (this achilles tendinitis isn’t going away) so that the pain doesn’t drive me too crazyand I’m home and hosed.
Oh… my friend Pippa (yes, the one I have my moments with) who is pregnant had her ultrasound today and she’s having another "pink one"… I’m very excited even though she could have sworn it had a willy. Oh well… if I’d gone on my instincts both of mine would ahve too… says a lot for mother’s intuition.
So, it’s nearly 8pm and it’s time for me to shoot off to work.
Miss catching up with you ppl. Will do tomorrow (hopefully)!!!

I finished a heck of an assignment last week. Could have really used someone to complain to, but oh well! LOL Yay for rest and happy entries and all that! YAY! 🙂

The way you are looking to IV and needles makes it clear that you are going to be a great nurse (I can’t even read that line without curling my toes). I have orthotics, they are fantastic.
