Dropping byyyyyy

I’m currently sitting at the kitchen table in my P.J’s watching Sacha eat egg on toast. At 7 she stgill makes a horrendous mess with the yolk, it’s hilarious. She’s also talking to herself which makes it even funnier. She told us the other day that she has an "invisable friend" called Isabella. Apparently Isabella is 11 years old and she has a 50 year old boyfriend she thinks is "hot" called Jack. Jimmy and I raised a few eyebrows, mumbled a few things between ourselves about Statutory rape and let her continue her babbling.

We had a good giggle over it later on.

She taught herself to ride a bicycle without training wheels. We’d started this learning curve before we left Australia but it wasn’t until she discovered Oliver’s bike looking lonely downstairs that she decided to figure it out. Amazingly, through sheer resilience she actually worked it out herself. There was a few times she came into the kitchen and threw the helmet on the floor and exclaimed that she was "never gonna get it" but we encouraged her and now she wizzes up and down the street.

She fell off last night and bruised her little foot and didn’t want me – she wanted Jimmy! So he scooped her up off the road and carried her inside and we iced the foot. No major damage, just a bit of a bruised bone.

We’re heading to Colorado this week-end. On Sun day we’ll jump in our new mini-van (YEAHHHH I bought a vannnnn!!!!) and drive the 9 hours. We’re gonna hit up the housing office with Jimmy’s orders since they have not reviewed our housing application yet. Slackers. It would be nice to PCS door-to-door instead of having to stay in hotels until they arrange a house for us. We’ll see. Jimmy has decided that the army is calling him for another 5 years or so. Blergh… I had kinda hoped that he’d retire but I think he’s decided to wait for his promotion board to meet next year and then stay the required 3 years so he can retire as an LTC.

Anyway, we’re all getting ready for graduation today. Jimmy is done the school he came to Leavenworth to do and today is the culmination of the year’s work. He’s getting dressed up in his finery (Class A’s) and graduating. *grins* It’s overcast… it’s been raining (after nearly 2 weeks of gorgeous sun) and it’s a bit disappointing!!!

I’m hoping to get a few nice pics though.

Holly and Oliver arrive in a week tomorrow and that’ll be 4 kids for 6 weeks! Whooooooooooo… Luckily they all get along pretty well. We’ll take them down to Oklahoma to see their Uncle, Auntie and Grandparents and then we’re headed to Houston for 4th July celebrations. Should be a nice little getaway before we have to come back here and pack up the house (ugh, packing!!!!)….

That’s about it for now. If I come across any other scintillating info i’ll pop back in!!!

Kids are friggen amazing! Yay! you are going to be so close so soon! Sounds like you guys will be busy the next few weeks but you will def. have to call or text me when things settle down and you are officially moved in so we can plan a get together. Oh, P.S. Colorado has been having rain every day, sometimes heavy thunderstormy rain (which I love), sometimes tornado watches and warnings (not as big of a fan but they’ve never hurt me so I’m cautiously opptimistic always… I also saw one of the 5 that hit Denver last weekend… it was across the street ha!) Anyway, it will be green green green when you get here. It really is “colorful colorado” vs. the usual “Brown Colorado” (unless you’re in the mountains of course) Look at me going on! Tell Jimmy congrats. Love to you both and the kiddos and I can’t wait to see ya! *hugs*
