Yesterday in a nutshell, today in a pecan
My Mikey, I love you

Yeah, yesterday started rough. We got through the yelling at each other, forgave each other, and made peace all by the time Mama arrived to seal my fate for the day.
I was majorly grumpy, because Mama’s repeated phone calls with questions as attachments had nerve-wracked me. When she arrived, I was unprepared, because she didn’t call again and tell me she was on the way…..come to think of it, maybe she didn’t want to get griped out again! LOL
My Mikey and I are FAR too dependent upon coffeelular stimulation to wake our asses up!!!!!! It so happens that we were out of coffee. Oh yeah, I forgot, and I apologize, Constant Reader. You already knew about that. DUH!
So Mama picked me up. We went to JITB (I know, John, it’s blasphemous that we’d eat from there) to get Breakfast Jacks for Mama, Mikey, Kasey, and me, and one Big Texas Cheeseburger, plain, for me.
After delivering breakfast to My Mikey, Mama and I set out on the day’s journey. We went out and picked up Kasey, my cousin Gene’s daughter. Let me tell you, it was sooooo creepy how much Kasey reminded me of Elisabeth. Not in looks, but in attitude and voice, kinda. I swear, it was like I was conversing with my daughter on the way down to Austin!!!!!
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that My Mikey didn’t go because his legs and his tooth were giving him fits. I didn’t want Mama driving back alone, so I went, anyway. It’s the first time in quite some time that My Mikey and I have been apart all day.
Once we got to Austin, the day actually went really well. As soon as we arrived, Frankie took Alex and Juli to Chuck-E-Cheeze ("Look, I don’t know this Cheeze person….")
So Mama set about the task of straightening up in MH’s house a bit before anyone could get back. That woman just NEVER takes it easy on herself, I tell you!!!!!
MH came home from work a little after 2pm. I was bragging about her mothering capabilites when she walked in, and I hushed. I looked at her and said, "It’s so hard to brag about you when you’re RIGHT HERE!!!!"
I guess that kinda set the tone for the visit, which consisted of my sister making faces at her husband behind his back when he was being a punk. Tripped me out! We watched My Mikey’s and my wedding video….heard Alex giggling at Uncle Hermy crying. We watched the last two taped PTA programs that Alex and Juli had part in. Then, we had supper and went home.
Kasey stayed there, because she’s there to help out by babysitting the kids while MH and Frankie work, with their sometimes-conflicting work schedules.
There was a lot of laughter, a lot of enjoyment. Kinda like the good ole days, which I miss, you know? I mean I miss the days of being friends with MH. At one point, I mentioned Mikey’s Lupus, and MH was actually sympathetic and concerned. I felt like I had won the damn lottery!
So we came home, stopping along the way to pick up drinks, coffee, creamer, sugar, and bread for My Mikey and me.
I think yesterday was a big success. Apparently, the time away from each other was ok on Mikey and me, too. I was glad to see him again when I returned, and I hope he was as happy to have me back home.
I may write more later today. Until then, Constant Reader and/or Accidental Wanderer, take good care of yourself.
Love,

Glad things went well. While I will nver be the biggest fan of Mary Helen ( it is not in me to give props to people who disrespect me or think I am a rotten human), she is your sister and therefore I am thrilled you two are getting along. I think I have made progress. At one time, I would have been sad that your family does not care for me and would have bended over backwards

change that. Now I am aware that I do not have to have their approval or seal of goodness to be your friend. I think that I have changed in that regard. Also, I am proud that I have not tried to contact Stacy. She use to be able to get ,e to relent with her I miss Lola rountine. It just does not work anymore.
