New Year’s Survey….

It’s kind of fun!

1. What did you do in 2004 that you’d never done before? I lost weight and kept it off!!!!!

2. Did you keep your New Year’s resolutions and will you make more for next year? The only thing I wanted, as far as a resolution, was to be more understanding, loving, and kinder. I don’t know if I made it or not!!!!!

3. Did anyone close to you give birth? No, but I have a sis-in-law due in February!

4. Did anyone close to you die? Not this year, yet. I have a cousin who is not expected to make it much longer. Fucking cancer – I HATE IT!!!!!

5. What countries did you visit? The Loving Country? Does that count?

6. What would you like to have in 2005 that you lacked in 2004? More privacy with My Mikey

7. What day from 2004 will remain etched in your memory? March 25, 2004. My Mikey knows why. It’s a good one. And May 21, 2004, which was the day My Mikey and I exchanged vows and also my 29th birthday.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? Living through the year and helping my husband stay alive.

9. What was your biggest failure? Not being as supportive as I should have been with My Mikey (and my family, at times)

10. Did you suffer illness or injury? A small injury to my wrist – back in February, but it STILL hurts!!!!

11. What was the best thing you bought? An airline ticket from San Jose to Austin!!!! Hands down, that’s it!!!!

12. Whose behavior merited celebration? My Mikey’s, Alex and Juli, Lola’s at given points, even sometimes mine

13. Whose behavior appalled/depressed you? I would prefer not to think about this, really

14. Where did most of your money go? paying off debt

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about? That my husband is coming home, at long last!!!!!

16. What song will always remind you of 2004? “The Reason” by Hoobastank – our song (one of them)

17. Compared to this time last year, are you: happier/sadder, fatter/thinner, richer/poorer? happier, thinner and richer (richer with love, not money)

18. What do you wish you’d done more of? I wish I had been better to My Mikey. I should have comforted him more than I did.

19. What do you wish you’d done less of? bitching, whining, yelling, etc.

20. How will you be spending Christmas? First with my family in Corsicana, then at home with my husband…just the two of us!!!!! WOO HOO!!!!!

21. What was the most embarrassing thing that happened to you in 2004? There are FAR too many embarrassing incidents to site a “most”

22. Did you fall in love in 2004? Yes. I fell in love with My Mikey. Before, I had been in love with him without knowing it. In March, I started knowing it was him!!!!

23. How many one night stands? None whatsoever, and none wanted, thank you!

24. What was your favorite TV program? I haven’t had tv this year…I watch movies.

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate a year ago? No, but I have seen a side of my sister that I don’t like much

26. What was the best book you read? Odd Thomas, by Dean Koontz

27. What was the best CD you bought? I don’t recall buying a cd this year.

28. What did you want, and get? married

29. What did you want and not get? I got what I wanted

30. What was your favorite film this year? The Day After Tomorrow, mainly because My Mikey and I watched it together.

31. What did you do on your birthday and how old were you? I got married!!!! I already mentioned that I turned 29….30’s on its way!!!!

32. What one thing would have made this year more satisfying? Having My Mikey home all year long.

33. How would you describe your fashion concept of 2004? hideous, if anything!!!!

34. What kept you sane? Hearing the sweetest voice in creation daily.

35. What celebrity did you fancy most? For some reason, I fixated a lot on Meryl Streep this year!

36. What political issue stirred you the most? Bush, period (that man is an idiot) – the gay marriage issue really stirred me up, and I should be shaken, not stirred, damnit!!!

37. Who do you miss? Daddy

38. Who was the best new person you met? I already knew My Mikey, but I didn’t know it was him, so, in a sense, My Mikey is the best new person I met this year.

39. Tell us a valuable lesson you learned in 2004: It is so that no one is perfect, but that will never stop me from aiming for perfection, anyway!

40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year: “Could’ve been better, but it could’ve been worse. I’m riding in the air, instead of in a hearse!!!!” I made that up, but it fits!
