Naptime for Michael
PROVE IT, HERMY……
The poor dear does not know that for part of our "niters" talk, it was I, Thelma, he spoke to. I used Jack’s voice and attempted not to clip my speech as I do. I tried my best to say "I" and "me", even as I was only pretending to be Jack. At one point, while we attempted to lay him down for his nap, he was volunteered to watch Isaiah while Tiffany did her presentation. Jack came out long enough to whimper. He asked our Michael (his Mikey, as he calls him) if Michael would like him to read a letter Jack wrote for Michael last night in order to talk him to sleep. This was what they refer to as a "brain fart", though I find that term slightly grotesque. Jack did not realize that Michael would have the baby with him, therefore he could not afford to fall asleep so easily, as he usually does. Michael said no, Jack crept away, and I came forth again.
Tiffany talked to Jack for a few minutes. She evinced surprise when she was told that Michael would be coming to Texas in 6 days. Jack was hurt and upset by this until Michael said that Tiffany was not aware it was so soon as 6 days.
I was under the impression that he had told all of them that he was leaving next weekend. I guess someone left out something somewhere.
I love you, darling Michael. Jack is not safe to unleash again. Betty would cause havoc for one and all. Barbara is sad. I appear to be the only one who can tolerate anything at the moment, so I shall stay out until we hear your precious voice again.
I love you,
Momma
