Explanation of ourselves for those interested

This entry will detail each person who lives within this body, as far as we have discovered, thus far.

We were created as an internalized family.  I think I know why, but I can’t really say.

Thelma Louise – The old lady of the body.  Mother of Jack, Barbara, Betty, Piers, and Bill.  Grandmother of Jacky, Louis, and Oscar.  She doesn’t appear very often.  Usually, it is when she feels she has something important to tell someone, which is usually aimed at one of her own children or grandchildren.  She is called Momma or Grandymere.

Barbara Jean – Barbara is Thelma’s oldest child.  She is very much older than the others, at least 20 years older than Jack.  She is very sweet and caring.  She never holds grudges, rarely gets angry, and is always impartial and fair with everyone.  The others within refer to her as "Our Angel".

Jack Layne – Jack is about 50 years old.  He’s easy-going, but with a bad temper that sometimes escapes him.  He is father to Jacky.  Usually, Jack is thought of as a well-rounded, versatile person.  We call him the Gentle Guy.

Piers – Piers is the keeper of rage within the body.   He wishes to be different, but he doesn’t know HOW to express much besides anger and hostility.  Occasionally, his jovial side surfaces, and when that happens, he can be quite funny.  He is slightly younger than Jack.

Bill – Bill is a mild-mannered type of guy.  He rarely makes an appearance.  There’s not much we know about him, except he was created as a male alternative to Barbara.  That much we do know.

Elizabeth Louise – Also known as Betty or "The Red Hot Mama" and "The Fire And Ice Goddess".  Betty is a sensitive 40-something woman who possesses a STRONG maternal instinct.  She is mother to Oscar and Louis.  Because of her maternal instinct, sometimes her temper flares upon people, if she feels they have hurt anyone she cares about.  She is usually a lot like Jack, pretty easy-going, but with a distinct sadness to her.  She feels overlooked and under-appreciated.  She stays depressed a lot, particularly over matters regarding our real-life (outside of this body) family.

Jacky – Jacky is wild, fun, young, carefree.  He is the ego of the body personified.  He is highly regarded by people who know us.  He is the most enjoyable person to be around, even with his sharp wit.  He makes comments that would ordinarily sting, but people find them funny, which suits him just fine.

Oscar – Now here’s a tricky one.  Oscar is the angry 15 year old of the body.  He holds a grudge against our real-life mother, Sue, and most women, in general.  He has particular issues with our real-life wife, Laurie.  It gets really ugly when Oscar comes out, usually, because he is usually in a rage.  He is also VERY protective of his little brother, Louis.  When he feels Louis has been hurt in any way, he comes out to his defense.

Louis – One of the youngest members of this body.  He is somewhere around 8 or 9 years old.  He is a sad child.  Often, he is very wise beyond his years, and there is no question about it….he is the BOSS in this body.  What he says goes, which is fine, because he is practical and very smart.  He insists on fair treatment for everyone.  He often writes in the diary when he is having a panic attack or after a bad dream.

Simon – The other youngest member of this body.  He is also around the same age range as Louis, though we do not know an exact age.  He is a very happy, peppy child, quite the opposite from Louis, in that regard, but otherwise very similar in thought and manner.  He tends to be flighty, and he, unfortunately, is the one who occasionally has psychotic episodes.  He likes the nickname "Petal".

Hermy – Another one rarely heard from.  This is not the same person as Herman.  Hermy is the eternal clown.  He is hyper, jittery, appears nervous but isn’t.  He loves to have fun, but his idea of fun can be annoying.  He seems to be the manic side of bipolar personified.

Herman (or Herman Fredrick) – This is my real-life name.  When an entry is signed this way, it is either for anonymity’s sake or because no one mentioned above is available to come out and cope with life.  This is when we feel like an empty shell of a person.  There is not much to Herman Himself.

I’m not sure how I missed that Herman part.

It’s nice to see you back! I’ve been trying to catch up as well, and not doing so fantastic at it. To make it less confusing, in 2008, I switched jobs, in February 2009, the new job almost gassed me to death (spent a week in the hospital, a month out of work, and still not entirely better), shortly after, I started making sock monkeys. The monkeys were so popular, I started selling them. Now, most of my OD is about the sock monkeys, which is fine with me because they’re way more interesting! If you and Mikey would like one, I would love to send you guys one for free of course! Lots of hugs, John

So… do you seriously have multiple personalities, or is this a just-for-fun kind of thing?
