9:46pm – Checks and Balances

PROVE IT, HERMY……

For starters, I shall tell you that this is Thelma (Momma) typing this entry. Jack was going to type one, but we thought I would be more objective in writing about the topic of checks and balances.

Tonight, there was another major idiotic moment between Jack and Michael. Michael mentioned that he had paid his cellular bill today. Well, one would not have believed it, had it not happened, but this admission set off a catastrophe. Betty came out and asked how he paid it. Michael answered that it was paid at RadioShack. So she asked when he paid it. His answer was 1:01pm. That would have made it 3:01pm here. At that time, Michael was down for a nap, and Jack was toodling around online.

Catch the problem? Jack and Betty, the Dumbsy Twins, immediately jumped the gun again. Betty logged off the messenger (the phone had died on Mikey, so we were on the Yahoo Messenger). Mikey knew that something was wrong, of course. Jack logged back on within two minutes. Then, Louis came out. By the way, we have changed the spelling of his name….it WAS Lewis, but since he was named in tribute to me, and my middle name is Louise, we simply redefined his name by taking off the “e”. Louis was angry. This is not a usual emotion for Louis these days, as you will know if you have kept up with reading this diary. Louis is mostly afraid and sad. For him to become angry was a positive step, even though the anger was misdirected. He listened to Jack and Betty telling one another that Mikey was lying to them again.

I tell you, this paranoia and suspicion is enough to drive me batty. If I see much more of it, I shall be compelled to lock Jack and Betty in a room somewhere, with the only key remaining in my possession.

Now, back to the story….

Louis asked Mikey if he was like all the other daddys in the world, by which he meant a liar. At this point, Mikey was severely confused, and rightfully so. I had enough of the histrionics and came out to talk to Our Micahel.

As if it really were any of Jack’s OR Betty’s business, Mikey explained that he had sent Manny (a roommate) up to pay the cellular bill while Mikey lay down for a nap. So, as it worked out, Mikey WAS asleep when Jack thought so. I thought the whole disagreement was ridiculous to start with. I THOUGHT I had taught Jack and Betty better than to be so jealous, petty, and suspicious. As ridiculous as it sounds, I had to punish Jack by NOT allowing him out to talk to Mikey for a bit. Why should I have to punish a grown man?!!!

Thankfully, Jackie-Boy realized that even had Mikey gone to RadioShack himself, it really made no difference. What is he afraid of – that Mikey is having an affair with a robot or maybe some batteries? As if the past nine months had never taken place, the Dumbsy Twins immediately put up their guards and attacked full force. What of justice? Ask them!

Mikey is Jack’s husband, not his slave. Mikey is stuck on this kick that because of what happened 10 months ago, he deserves more anger and hostility. He thinks he deserves NOT to be trusted. That is, pardon my language (or do not…see if I care!), utter bullshit!!!!!

A partner deserves love, honesty, respect, dignity, compassion, honor; not jealousy, contempt, pettiness, suspicion, belittling, insulting. I had THOUGHT I reared my children better than this. Apparently not, eh?

After making peace again, Jack lay Mikey down for another nap. That was almost two hours ago, which means that soon, we will probably receive a call from our darling. I hope he is pleased with the new song we started for him. It is different from the type we usually write. Only the music is underway, so far. We have no lyrics, as of yet, but they will be produced as soon as the music is finished, if not before.
