Too Much Info.

So today was day 1 of many more to come. My first day back to work and what a day it was. I’ve never worked this position before so I was getting some "training". Ha! You know, I thought training was shadowing someone, watching and learning. Boy was I sadly mistaken. Instead I was logged into the computer, opened a company program, handed a stack load of paper with crazy numbers all over the papers and told "hurry and do these". Yikes! Never has 7 hours gone by so fast before! I feel like i’ve just been mind fucked. I got home a few hours ago, trying to get everything in my head all sorted out so that when I walk in there tomorrow I will have a bit more of a clue as to what the hell im doing.

But to be completely fair and honest- once I get the hang of it and my own routine of things going, I think I am going to enjoy this job. More so that many jobs I have had before. 🙂 
It also helps that the people in the office and on the docks are really cool. They don’t have that thing most work places o, what is it, oh yeah- a stick up their asses. They joke around and are fun to be around for hours at a time. Thank god!

It was also a relief to come home to find that my boyfriend has spent some time today packing and cleaning. Takes some of the stress off me. We get the keys to our new place in 5 days, then we pretty much have until next Friday to have everything ready to go because next weekene is pretty much the only time we have to move EVERYTHING because after that it’s the christmas rush and family things and by the time we know it- the month will be over. Yikes.

I’m liking the way things are looking lately. 🙂
