Venting My Frustrations

YES I AM FRUSTRATED!!!

We are in the middle of a snow storm…a bad one. The schools let out early because of it. My fiancee’ is on the other side of the city (approx. 45 minutes away) & my 4 kids are standing outside of their locked school waiting….in the cold. The school secretary called & said she had to lock up everything & leave. I have no way to contact them. I have no one to pick them up. I feel so helpless.

I can’t go get them, their school is about 2 miles away. Me trying to go there would mean dragging the baby out in the cold.She is too heavy for me to carry & using the stroller in this snowy mess is out of the question. My aunt who lives 4 blocks away has loaned her car to her son on the other side of town. And my best friend is out of town.

I NEED A VEHICLE!!!

Last year around this time someone on OD promised me they were going to give me their minivan because they got a new one. I was so excited and thankful. But they then had some health problems with their mother and the talk of bringing me the car slowed up then eventually stopped. I was…no I am hurt because since then I have read entries in their diary that have gotten ANOTHER new vehicle yet no words to me regarding what they promised me. I know they don’t owe me anything. But I feel if you say you are gonna do something then you should do it. I try to keep my word why can’t others?

I had a vehcile that was stolen & destroyed the week I was due to pay the last $137.61 before it was completely paid off. See entry "Dude Where’s My Car???" dated 9/26/2004. I struggled to pay $400 a month for a year and a half only to loose it at the end of the struggle.

I don’t know what to do.I seem to be stuck in a cyle. I need a car but what I get from my widow’s pension wouldn’t be enough for a down payment and enough to survive the month off of. I need a job but I can’t get a job without a car because public transportation here is so bad most employers won’t hire you without dependable transportation.
