My mom & sister will survive & other grumblings

My mother & sister are still unhappy campers. But the good news is they will survive!! If I don’t kill’ em first. I never thought that a decision I made about my body would cause such an uproar. It’s not like I had a sex change operation or even an abortion (not that I’m knocking anyone who has made either one of those choices).

My mom’s conversation still mainly consists of deep sighs and comments i.e. "I guess I’ll have to be happy with only the grandkids I already have" and "I can believe you did it!! You are a christian, where is your faith in God to heal you and take care of you??"

My sister is coming around but she still says things like "I didn’t think you’d actually go thru with it. But it’s not too late. I’m praying for God to ‘untie" your tubes. So that you can bless your fiancee’ with a baby after you are married. "

I normally don’t curse but  WTF?!?!?!?! sorry

I don’t understand why this such a big deal to a 29 year old virgin (YES a 29 year old virgin it’s true). Why can’t she get married and have her own? Why does our family’s continued existance have to depend on me giving birth?

My sister has always been perfect. Straight A student from pre-school on thru college. She graduated at the top of her class in high school at 16. Has only missed church 3 times since she was 18. And has never missed not one day of work. She was a special ed teacher after she graduated from college in 3 years instead of 4. Then she got her master’s degree over the summer 4 years ago at Cambridge College in Boston where they have an accellerated degree program. She just got her PHD and is working on her 2nd one. She had paid off ALL her student loans by the time she graduated. Has 2 cars that she financed at the same time and paid them both off early. She has the highest score that you can possibly have credit wise. She not only tithes 10% of income to our church but 10% of her time. Which means there are 168 hours in a week & she spends 16.8 hours a week working in a homeless shelter or on our church’s 24 hour prayer line (800-541-PRAY) as a counselor. She pays my grandmother’s utilities, cable & internet bills every month. She even sends money to the Feed The Children’s Fund to help support a couple of different kids in different countries.

And to top it all off and this is my mother’s favorite; SHE IS A VIRGIN!! When she was 16 she let a boy go "too far" and he kissed her on the lips. She fasted & prayed for 2 weeks straight!! By the way I was there; it was a peck on the lips. No longer than 2 seconds max.From the point on she has said that the next time she a man will kiss her is at their wedding. And she has been a woman virtue ever since. I know it’s hard to believe but if you knew her you’d understand how I know it’s true.

NE way 3 of my five my 5 kids are demanding my attention. And I gotta see where the heck the other 2 are!! Sorry about the sister bashing but I needed to get it out.
