How I Came Up With My Open Diary Name

I started out as kathleenann… not very creative. At some point, I wanted a name that better fit me.

Nimue is one of the names for the Lady of the Lake in King Arthur stories. As my favorite place of all is the lake at our cottage in Canada, and I am always in the middle of it in my kayak, I think it fits. It is the one place I find peace. Plus I always loved the story. The whole sword in the stone thing is just so fantastic.

And, yes, I am a romantic… and that is a secret. You would not know it if you met me.

Very interesting how you took your diary name. I just wrote out my own entry for that theme. Then I saw your entry on the front page link and I’m pretty sure it hadn’t been there for long. So I’ll wait a while before I submit mine to give your entry some time there. Take care Lady Of The Lake 🙂

I was thinking of changing my name, but I thought it would confuse everyone.

You’re from Canada? What a lovely way to remember a name. Good choice! G~

I didn’t know that! I’ve been wanting to change my diary name but it’s been Pola for ten years….oh well.

Good choice. I didn’t realize that was the origin of that name. Have you read “The Mists of Avalon?”

Just came across you. I love your name. I must have missed when that was the theme but I think I will write it late. How wonderful to be able to be in the middle of a lake in a kayak.
