Bucket List – Check One Off
My grandson had his seventh birthday party this past Saturday. MJ and LP planned a rock wall climbing party at a local gym. Ten seven year olds and a few adults.
I have always wanted to try this but really never had the opportunity. Well I waited until all the kids has their time. Then went to the desk and signed up. Got my harness and went to the thirty five foot high wall.
I didn’t think I would get very far. I’ve never climbed anything tall except scaffolding when we built the house many years ago.
I was really focued on each hand-hold and when I finally asked to come down, my legs and arms were burning. My breathing was ragged. it turned out I almost made it to the top… just a few feet short.
I never paid attention to were I was, just focused on the task.
I guess I am not in as bad a shape as I thought.
And the next day I had no aches or pains.
I want to do it again and make it to the top. It is really a lot of fun.
So anyway, I can check this off my list.
You are awesome… You will make the top next time…
