Salad Thief

The weekend was alright. I just feel restless lately for whatever reason. We went to Red Lobster on Friday. We both had the four course meal. I had the clam chowder, caesar salad, shrimp and scallops garlic fettuccine alfredo and the key lime pie. It was so good. I couldn’t believe the price of alcohol there. It was around $8- $9 on average for a cocktail. So I just had beer. My limit these days is three max. I had two.

One thing that happened when we were there bugged me. There was lots of food because there were biscuits as well, yum! They weren’t as good as I recall. Still delicious though. And no that wasn’t what annoyed me. After I received the entree I had my salad plate to my right because there was so little room on the table. The waitress comes by and without a word grabs my salad plate with the salad wtill on it, about half left. I hadn’t asked her to. So next time she came by Karl told her she took it and I hadn’t been finished. She just put the plate off to the side behind me for some reason. So I did get it back.

Ok yeah it is standard to clear dishes if they are to the side. That is what she pointed out. But at least ask the person if they are done if there is still food on the plate.

After we went to watch horse racing. I decided to bet on the horses for the first time in my life. The first bet I did I think was a triactor. And two of the horses came in first and second, but not the third one. For the foling races I bet on horses named Thundermonkey, Litethecigar, Angelmyst and I think that was it. None of the horses I bet on won. so I was out around $14 total. I had bet $6 the first race. I said to Karl in the future "I won’t go so crazy with the betting."

Later that night after I was at home I was taking out the garbage. I found $10 outside. So that made up for my loss. I want to because a horse racing expert. That likely won’t happen this year though.

I’m going to buy one of those SAD lamps. It was just used for a month last year. The only thing that sucks is the seller is on the other side of the city.

I decided I need to start making more homeade meals. I know that companies put extra ingredients in so food doesn’t spoil as fast. But it isn’t really great for the body. Karl brought me back my New York Times electronic recipe master. The screw was stripped so he had to pry off the back. For some reason I never really use cookbooks. And recipes online are good but I don’t have a printer at home. I decided to make the spinach and mushroom meatloaf last night. It turned out pretty good. Next I want to make beef stew. I went to the liquor store yesterday just to get dry red wine. Then later that night I remembered that I don’t even have a corkscrew. Yeah that is how often I get wine.
