I just had a  small Chilli from Wendys. I was celebrating getting to leave work early. There is a tornado watch here. I don’t ever recall having a tornado right in the city so I’m not very concerned.

When my co-worker phoned me at work to tell me about it I had to ask him 3 times if he was joking that we had the afternoon off because of the tornado  watch. That is how rare it is to get time off for something like that, here.

Does anyone else watch the show "Paranormal Witness"? It reminds me of another show "A Haunting." Paranormal Witness focuses on reenactment and people telling their stories about paranormal activity in their homes. On the one yesterday it was about a Baptist family had a demon in their home.

So I kept on thinking about that as I attempted to sleep last night. So it went from being midnight to 1:30 with me still tossing & turning. I had maybe 4.5 hours of sleep. So I look forward to napping in a while.

Yesterday I went to a park that is a few blocks away. I recall last year around this time I didn’t like going out and walking because it seemed like guys were staring at me. That really doesn’t seem to happen now, or I don’t notice. Or maybe it is feeling better because I lost so much weight. I went to Mcdonalds and bought  Junior Chicken and a Vanilla sugar free vanilla iced coffee. The thrill there was getting called Miss instead of Maam.

I wanted a book to read but didn’t feel like going back to my place. As I walked closer to the park i saw someone on the front lawn of an apartment building having a garage sale. I had been to that same place before for a garage sale. The guy who had it did all of these drawings of a woman. I think an ex who I assume he was dating when he did them. So he was selling those, as he had last time I was there. He must have sold some of them though there just wasn’t the quantity he had last time. Or maybe he kept some for a shrine to her or something odd like that, ha.

Another guy who was selling things or helping with the garage sale had this black tube he said he was using for duck calls. it did make a duck call type noise. I told him to go to a lake to test it out. I bought this book for a buck. http://www.amazon.com/Hey-Nostradamus-Novel-Douglas-Coupland/dp/B000BZ9A32 I enjoy other books by that author so I thought it would be a good read. It is definitely easy reading I read 56 pages during my time there.

Then i continued to the park. First I sat on the grass by a tree. I didn’t want to get bitten up by mosquitoes though. So I relocated to a bench by the playground. The park was eerily quiet other than a teen (I’m bad with telling the age of kids) wearing a red shirt, headphones and jeans. He was probably listening to Brittney Spears, just kidding. He had walked by once when I was on the grass then had looped around the area and walked by again. Maybe he was getting exercise but that is a big neighborhood that would be boring to walk down the same road over & over. At one point he was on the swing for a while.

Then a seemingly perfect family arrived. Blonde athletic Mom. Brunette charismatic Dad. Racing with their kids and engaging with them the whole time. Even when they gave the kids shit for something, thee parents were polite. At one point the boy almost sat on my drink. I saw hiss ass getting closer and moved it, ha. I didn’t really care though he was just being a kid. So Dad says "Max you almost sat on someone’s drink." Max was oblivious. I said "it’s ok because really he didn’t do anything wrong. So Dad says to me "he needs to be mindful." Fine I will flip out and call your kid an asshole then. Just kidding I didn’t say that.

Then later there was a  blonde Mom with her two boys. This was a more typical family. Older brother pushes little brother on the tire swing too fast even though the younger one didn’t seem too upset. The Mom said "He was saying he wanted to stop you need to listen." Older brother says "But he was laughing."  And the younger kid was so happy he kept on yelling with joy when his Mom was pushing him.

I think when kids are outside they should be allowed to do yell scream jump. So the Mom says to the younger one "Don’t yell that lady is trying to read." I said once again "It’s ok." I’m the one barging in on their space so why should I be mad? There are lots of places to read. And it isn’t as though it was "War and Peace." I needed little concentration to focus on it.

It was kind of cool in that spot so I was going to head home. But then I found a perfect sunny spot. The Mom probably thought I was mad and moved, ha. I watched fat bees lazily flying around pollinating flowers, extracting nectar for the queen.

I work in a building that was a school. The roof is flat and relatively low. Last week when I left work there were these kids maybe 13 or 14 on the roof, running around. That was surreal. I hung around for a few minutes just to make sure they didn’t break their necks

And last Thursday was free slurpee day. it was my first slurpee of the year so that was pretty sweet. The syrup in the first Coke slurpee was kind of off. Then I went back later for one more. The Pepsi slurpee was way better.

They had these youth summer games going on for work and had all of this clothing for the players. They had some shorts & shirts in a box by the door. I saw some really cute shorts with two purple feathers on them. I have no shorts at all and thought they were cute. So I asked if I could have them. I was going to buy them but they were given to me for free. They will be good for exercising. I don’t know why the blue ones look that way. They are actually navy blue. And the other ones need to be ironed and the feathers aren’t very visible. I will get a better pic of them sometime in the future. And I bought the purse yesterday from Winners. It has super cute brown lining with white polka dots. The brand is Street Level which I had never seen before. It was $30 and rarely will I pay that much for clothing or a purse. The retail price is $50 though so I don’t feel too bad.

I can’t carry a purse that tiny… I swear I just need a giant bag. I keep so much stuff in it I have to be careful when putting it on a chair because it’ll knock the damned thing over.

ryn: Thanks for your note. I agree. And I know the situation isn’t right. I actually keep falling into this same pattern with the past… idk 4 guys I’ve been interested in. These relationships aren’t healthy yet, I keep going back to them. BLAH. One day I’ll learn. The first ep of Paranormal Witness I ever watched scared me so bad I had to changed the channel and couldn’t sleep that night. LOL

ryn: Yeah, I need to set boundaries with Marcus. Believe it or not I have set boundaries before with another guy and actually stuck to them. hahaha..

I think I really should look for the book {replying to your note} cause I really liked the story line. I enjoyed reading your entry, hope you don’t mind me adding you.

RYN: I know, I know, no lid, contents go spash! I’ve never had it happen before so it was kinda a surprise. And funny after a moment. At least it didn’t get all over me. I love afternoons off. They are few and far between. Sounds like you had a good one. At least the kid didn’t sit on your drink. Lol. Have a good one!
